Dunno, but can't be good with year end just gone.... there wasn't the usual "to pursue other interests" or "because of other committments" claptrap.

Oh well, stop losses in on this one just in case..........

100% agree with that comment. They will only make a decent price if they have buyers or sellers to match. On that basis an electronic matching system such as Australia or Canada would let us all see those trades and cut the easy money merchants out of the game and leave the real risk takers to get on with it. I speak from many years experience! Have bought JWY recently and have high hopes of a recovery to over the float price of 30p and beyond.

Indeed. One look at the market cap shows the potential IF the business is back on track. If the next results please, I predict a riot!

EDIT: Had a closer look at this and a few doubts have crept in, so I'm out. Good luck.

Hi Steve

I like your enthusiasm, but let's get back to the IPO price first, before we start talking about 80p! ;-)

Having said that, if we return to the IPO price (30p) the chart suggests we should continue to push on to the mid/high 30s without to much trouble. All time high is around 48p on the day of the IPO.

Hi sandbank

I was just posting that RNS to qualify my comments as it's the last communication from the company and explains, to some degree, the depressed price. But, as you say, the situation should (in theory) be looking a lot rosier now.

This retracement is quite healthy, as we are (historically) overbought now:

HATTORI_HANZO: Agreed. By the way it's probably worth pointing out that the RNS you quote was dated last September. The situation is a lot better now.

H2 should be the stronger half so possible £4m+ revenue and £700k+ pbt for year(historic)...AIM listing costs should diminish and bad debt stabilise given more % payments up front...If business remains strong £1m+ pbt in current year possible should see share price trade 65-80p range...

I agree, the chart looks good and they look cheap. Bought some earlier this week.

If they've got control of costs & there are no large bad debt provisions then a return to the floatation price (and above) is on the cards. I suspect growth will be impressive.

LONDON (AFX) - Jarlway Holdings PLC, which makes equipment for the
construction industry, unveiled a fall in profits for the six months to June 30
as higher costs and provisions outweighed a sharp rise in sales.
The group, which is heavily involved in the Chinese market, said pretax
profits fell to 435,000 stg from 578,000 stg a year earlier despite a 40 pct
jump in sales to 3.6 mln stg.
Jarlway blamed "higher overheads, reflecting an increased spend on sales and
marketing, ongoing costs associated with the AIM Listing and a further increase
in bad debt provisions" for the fall in profits.
Gross margins slipped slightly to 38 pct from 40 pct.
Looking ahead, the company is forecasting a reduction in costs in the second
half and reiterated the board is "very positive about current trading and
believes the company is on course to deliver a considerably improved performance
in the current year."
