16/5/2006 08:00 | The rumour's out that JLT are running the slide-rule over Heath Lambert, a.k.a. basket-case, currently owned by banks having swapped debt for equity and 10% by you and me, the taxpayer (or should I say Gordon?)after pension fund rescue. Maybe a good long term strategic move for the distribution, but short term a major distraction. Also lots of cross-over on the wholesale side so major politics and to be played and fallout to come, all to the detriment of their clients........... clients?...., sorry......... who are they?!! JB | jimbob220
10/5/2006 13:32 | JLT was/is driven by share based remuneration. So many senior producers's options are under water, so this is just the start. Many more to go, imho. | jimbob220
10/5/2006 13:25 | Large team leaving JLT on way to work for Ex CEO McGill now at Aon, only the start I suspect! | mandafund
10/5/2006 07:34 | Willis - any price. | slim9
21/4/2006 22:05 | Aon? Not quite the vibrant day I expected today. But there was still positivity on lower volume. Interesting! This is still a good share in a bull market. Any company with a dividend yield above 5% is cheap currently...and normally. It must be ripe for a takeover. | patmike
21/4/2006 18:14 | patmike - i think you might be Bang on :-) | mister x
20/4/2006 15:59 | No post since 23 March. However, the rise over last 2 days deserves a comment. Volume is higher than usual and there is consistent strength. Obviously, there is a rumour going around the city. Takeover, perhaps? | patmike
23/3/2006 15:16 | Good rise today is that pre-buying for the div. | gnik
23/3/2006 09:22 | Thanks.....just a little hesitant, the chart is not making a pretty reading! Can't seem to work out where the bottom may be?? | elsworth
23/3/2006 06:59 | 28/03 i think. | ursus
23/3/2006 06:55 | Elsworth 29/03 | gnik
22/3/2006 23:33 | When is the last date you can buy this stock to be entitled to the divi??????? | elsworth
22/3/2006 11:20 | I am coming back into JLT having last sold at490p (31.10.05) . Yes outlook is poor , but this is our last quoted world class insurance broker with big business in the Far East.Stock goes ex 12pnet final 0n 29 Mar so current offer price of 360p is equiv to 348p an annual yield on a flat div (20.5p) of 5.89%. Yes it will probably go lower say 330p but Willis was taken private when stock was bombed out and downside looks limited from here. | bench2
12/3/2006 16:05 | Danny I also feel it might be rewarding to get back in at the right level, I think around the the previous low 335p. | gnik
12/3/2006 12:39 | 365p currently. I'm looking to go back in soon but at the moment I cannot decide on a re-entry price. I must be a glutton for punishment!!! | danny murphy
08/3/2006 19:14 | yeah same here i think if you see a stock that youve made a few k on looking cheap you buy on emotion | dellwood
08/3/2006 18:02 | Painful lesson, I simply got it wrong. At least I've stopped the loss!!! I have made good profits on JLT in the past though. Good luck with your holding. | danny murphy
07/3/2006 17:40 | danny murphy .....nice to see someone using a thread as it should be warts and all...climbed back in myself at 3.93..will tuck away and see...good luck mate | dellwood
07/3/2006 11:15 | could be rewarding if you can call the bottom, yield now over 5% | gnik
07/3/2006 10:06 | I'm out,383.20p Ouch!!! | danny murphy
07/3/2006 09:50 | Still short. Partially closed this a.m. for nice profit. Balance has target 350p which could be made shortly once the city understand current state of insurance market. All IMHO etc. | brownie69
07/3/2006 08:46 | I'm in again, 3500 at 401.80p. | danny murphy
07/3/2006 08:16 | still short brownie? | rabain
01/3/2006 14:00 | Earnings released next Tuesday , anybody got any views.? | cavatino |
