The rumour's out that JLT are running the slide-rule over Heath Lambert, a.k.a. basket-case, currently owned by banks having swapped debt for equity and 10% by you and me, the taxpayer (or should I say Gordon?)after pension fund rescue. Maybe a good long term strategic move for the distribution, but short term a major distraction. Also lots of cross-over on the wholesale side so major politics and to be played and fallout to come, all to the detriment of their clients........... clients?...., sorry......... who are they?!!

JLT was/is driven by share based remuneration. So many senior producers's options are under water, so this is just the start.

Many more to go, imho.

Large team leaving JLT on way to work for Ex CEO McGill now at Aon, only the start I suspect!

Aon?

Not quite the vibrant day I expected today. But there was still positivity on lower volume. Interesting! This is still a good share in a bull market. Any company with a dividend yield above 5% is cheap currently...and normally.

It must be ripe for a takeover.

No post since 23 March. However, the rise over last 2 days deserves a comment.
Volume is higher than usual and there is consistent strength. Obviously, there is a rumour going around the city. Takeover, perhaps?

I am coming back into JLT having last sold at490p (31.10.05) . Yes outlook is poor , but this is our last quoted world class insurance broker with big business in the Far East.Stock goes ex 12pnet final 0n 29 Mar so current offer price of 360p is equiv to 348p an annual yield on a flat div (20.5p) of 5.89%. Yes it will probably go lower say 330p but Willis was taken private when stock was bombed out and downside looks limited from here.

Danny I also feel it might be rewarding to get back in at the right level, I think around the the previous low 335p.

Painful lesson, I simply got it wrong. At least I've stopped the loss!!!

I have made good profits on JLT in the past though. Good luck with your holding.

Still short. Partially closed this a.m. for nice profit. Balance has target 350p which could be made shortly once the city understand current state of insurance market. All IMHO etc.
