07/8/2018 11:08 | Iht benefit could be altered at any time, not a reason to buy imv. | essentialinvestor
07/8/2018 07:56 | predominately buys this morning though.. | gripfit
07/8/2018 07:54 | Waddy,,, I think there may have been a lot of people buying this at above £5 , for thye wrong reason. Iht benefits probably to save tax, but the loss is probably now more than the tax that they are likely to pay . | gripfit
07/8/2018 07:34 | Moving towards a 3 yr share price low ; not what would be expected post results. Hard to justify a 40% share price drop in the last year. Or perhaps had got ahead of itself? | wad collector
02/8/2018 09:44 | looks like 3;50 this ........ | gripfit
25/7/2018 12:34 | could do with share price tarting up ,,, | gripfit
25/7/2018 12:27 | Agreed elmfield - I do love JHD's no-nonsense approach to accounting and transparency. Too much obfuscation and cosmetic tarting up at too many companies. | henchard
25/7/2018 12:14 | Proper accounting,
Could do with more of that! 😬 | elmfield
25/7/2018 11:54 | 2 mill better then | gripfit

In line with last year ??"
Yes but qualified by the sentence directly above it in the release ...
In line with best practice, we shall expense these costs rather than amortise or construct an adjustment to "underlying" earnings. | saint or sinner?
25/7/2018 07:44 | In line with last year ?? | gripfit
25/7/2018 07:09 | Pre-Close Statement.
"......we are pleased to anticipate, once again, reporting record turnover and expect profits for the year to 30 June 2018 will be in line with last year"

26/6/2018 15:33 | The Aiea bid news was 22nd May , wouldn't really explain a share price rise 4 week later.
Mind you there is often no clear reason for a share price change , even if some analysts confidentally give their opinion that it is due to X. Sometimes just "Noise" . | wad collector
26/6/2018 12:49 | I just checked the same thing and on 20/21 there were buys over 450, a large number of buys/sells of small quantities, which often happens with JHD and I've always assumed they were employee profit share scheme trades. There was also a big buy of 82100 at 451.7692.
Anyway, I had assumed the rise was a reaction to the announcement that they wouldn't bid for AIEA. I am at a loss to explain the subsequent drop and pleased to see it going up again :-) | trigger blade
26/6/2018 11:46 | Ah yes ,I went too far back, as you say.
No news no broker upgrades that I can find. | wad collector
26/6/2018 11:28 | they did Waddy,,, just check the trades | gripfit
26/6/2018 11:13 | A lot of the apparent share price movements on the advfn graphs are a bit artefactual for JHD , they sometimes use the buy or sell prices as midprices for the graph, often on tiny volumes so most of the swings are not real. Not sure the selling prices went above about 430 earlier in month. | wad collector
25/6/2018 14:01 | wht the spike to £4,50 -£4,60 and then back ?? | gripfit
13/6/2018 12:10 | SMASHING , ill have a butchers(look) | gripfit
