05/10/2016 10:32 | Thanks for that link. There is a recurring theme to the broker notes. I sold out last yr as the share price looked ahead of itself to me , then bought back this yr into weakness. Long term holding is most peoples policy here , but sometimes I cannot resist taking profits. £5 would tempt me again.. | wad collector
05/10/2016 09:50 | Could this cash-rich AIM stock wipe the floor with Rolls-Royce Holding plc? | bda3490
03/10/2016 23:01 | Solid not spectacular. That will do. I like the last bit; Outlook We continue to have a large market share in the UK but the curbing of repair and renewal spending by the NHS was very noticeable in the first two months' trading of the new financial year. It would seem that refurbishment in the education sector too has seen reticence in this period, which is uncharacteristic. However, the UK represents only about a third of the business and the doubts over the economy in the weeks after the "Brexit" referendum seem to be lessening. Moreover, far more important is the positive effect of a weakened sterling on both the competitiveness of our offering around the globe and on margins. I remain optimistic for the coming year. 01/8/2016 08:09 | Pre-Close Trading Statement James Halstead plc, the commercial flooring manufacturer and distributor, is providing the following trading update ahead of its final results for the year to 30 June 2016. In the Chairman's statement announced on 31 March 2016, it was reported that the first half year profit before tax was 7.5% ahead of the prior year comparative but early trading in the second half was challenging. Nevertheless, the Chairman expressed he had every expectation of continued progress in the second half year. During the majority of the year Sterling traded at a higher level than the prior year presenting challenges to our overseas turnover, which is in excess of 60% of total turnover. Just before the year end, late in June this reversed drastically, which bodes well for the new financial year. Trading through to 30 June 2016 has been solid and profit before tax for the full year will be ahead of last year, in line with market expectations and at the highest level in the Company's history. | lundhousegreen
30/7/2016 19:23 | If news is good companies usually can't wait to get it out so I hope there's no reason they'd delay it. Tipped in the Mail by Chris Hutchinson of the Unicorn Fund this morning so there may be an uptick on Monday so don't be misled. | warranty
26/7/2016 09:26 | Thanks . They must be playing cards close to their chest! | wad collector

22/7/2016 09:17 | I believe we are having a run up prior to the next trading update. Yesterday's volume was the second highest in the last 12 months. Just my opinion. | rvsy38
22/7/2016 08:59 | ....Or maybe not , as some 415 buys have gone through. The MMs looking for a bit cut again though ; quoting a 5% spread. | wad collector
22/7/2016 08:20 | "Amateur chartist" is a tautology :-) JHD is relatively illiquid so sometimes these apparent share price movements are just noise. Looks like yesterday's little rise might just have been one. | wad collector
22/7/2016 08:11 | The present weakness in the share is an opportunity to top up. I am a very amateur chartist and once a month I assess all my shares and the only share I own at the moment which is not overbought is JHD | wingrove4 |
