Looking at the cash on the balance sheet (£ 27.5m) and the annual cash inflows (£29 m) I think another special is on the cards in January. I shall watch out for news at AGM time.

The brochure on investment sent out with the accounts was impressive.

LHD ,my mistake , I went by the "financials" link on the previous page ; hadn't noticed that advfn haven't updated the last 2 yrs dividend dates for some reason.
It also means they are showing the wrong yield as they describe the dps of 16.5p - the 2007 figures.Those historic yield figures were a bit misleading anyway as they ignore the special dividends.

Very few companies have cash in the bank, nil gearing , and a nice dividend
these days.
I have been a buyer this year, topping up when I can, and intend to keep
these shares long term.

Very tightly held - Virtually no stock available at current price. MM spread usually horrible.

Channel 4 TV Teletext had it marked down much less than BBC's Ceefax which was showing 65p down.

When does it go ex-dividend?

Looks like the mid price was taken from the early sale of 2150 shares that the market makers hoovered up for 500p. JHD actually down 11p.
