31/3/2025 07:17:50 | Valaris 247 Jack Up Rig on location and 2025 production averaging slightly ahead of expectation despite cyclone related downtime.
RNS - Skua-11 Operations and Group Production Update
'31 March 2025 - Singapore: Jadestone Energy plc (AIM:JSE) ("Jadestone" or the "Company"), an independent upstream production and development company focused on the Asia-Pacific region, announces that the Valaris 247 jack-up rig has arrived on location at the Montara field offshore Australia to drill the Skua-11 well side-track ("Skua-11ST").
Skua-11ST is the main activity in Jadestone's 2025 capital program. Operations will cover safe decommissioning of the existing SK-11 well, after which a side-track will be drilled higher in the Skua structure to accelerate the recovery of reserves from this field. The Skua-11ST program is expected to take c.60 days to complete, with an expected initial oil rate of c.3,500 bbls/d when brought onstream and extending the economic life of the Montara field by one year. The well is expected to cost US$62 million, with a forecast payback period of 16 months and generate a 65% internal rate of return[1].
Adel Chaouch, Executive Chairman of Jadestone, commented:
"We are looking forward to executing drilling operations at Skua-11 safely and efficiently. Bringing this well back into production will add to the positive operational momentum we have seen so far in 2025, with Group production year to date averaging c.21,000 boe/d, slightly ahead of expectations, even after cyclone related downtime in Australia early in the year. The emphasis on high uptime and stable operations is beginning to pay off, as we focus on demonstrating delivery against targets." | mount teide | |

27/3/2025 13:09:51 | Annual results for 24 should be released next month, but we all know the main numbers already. They should also put out a Q1 25 net debt figure, which we don't know. There appears to have been no issues over the last 3 months, with Brent averaging $75 and Akatara making a quarterly contribution. I have 2 figures in mind, one with a CWLH lifting, and one without. If the CWLH lifting was in Q1, that net debt figure might grab the market's attention. | pughman | |

26/3/2025 09:33:10 | I am unconvinced. Yes, I am worried that revenue growth will not yield corresponding levels of profitability. This has been well covered, but I feel they do have scope to change this and I feel that current management is listening by playing things a bit more steady-away. Therefore if management can curb the temptation to spend more cash on acquisitions [not matter how good they seem to be - its like my wife shopping in the sales for stuff we don't need], and they can get a partner involved in Vietnam to cough up for the development costs, then I feel in 2026 we should be looking at a valuation of at least twice the current value at 70 dollars oil.
Mgt cannot control the oil price, war in Ukraine, Trumps policies or other exogenous headwinds, but they can control every time they open up their chequebook!
Some of my posts may seem negative but they are more frustration at the market valuation today! | winnet | |

22/3/2025 09:22:21 | Thanks, Croas, interesting link, Here's the JSE bit:
'Jadestone Energy: have had a clear regional growth strategy and entered Malaysia in 2021 when they acquired SapuraOMV’s Peninsular Malaysia assets (PM-318 / PM-323 / PM-329). They have continued to expand in Malaysia, taking a 60% operated stake in the nearby PM-428 exploration block that was offered in MBR 2023 as well as a 100% stake in the Puteri Cluster DRO that was offered in the MBR+ round. We will have to see how the changes at the top of the company will impact their desire for further acquisitions but early indications are they will continue to look for assets that fit well in their portfolio and offer value.' | fireplace22 | |

20/3/2025 14:45:13 | how many years have we been saying that
---
About 5 | winnet | |
20/3/2025 10:45:58 | Stag infill cost $60m in 22 and the PM infill $26m in 23. Malaysia produced over double the barrels for less than half the cost. Skua is going to cost $62m this year, which at $70 oil is going to take a long time to pay its way, which is why I don't see much movement in the net debt position this year. The Malaysian drill in 26 offers far more shareholder value, so next year might be the year the JSE share price recovers, but how many years have we been saying that. Don't worry about Nigel, he's a concept guy. | pughman | |
20/3/2025 09:57:12 | Good to see some more director buying! Also I'm glad it's not just me who is peeved off about next FY 's egregious operational expenditure! $250 million - $300 million for a company potentially producing 20kBOEPD is quite frankly shocking!Revenues are vanity and profit is sanity | oilinvestoral | |
20/3/2025 09:36:47 | Disagree. Some of our assets are only marginally profitable. Stag?
Listen, I'm invested, but I would like to see a little more discipline on the OPEX side and some form of shareholder returns, as I'll be pushing up daisies by the time I get a return here. Most regulars on this board know I've been holding many years, being patient, believing the jam tomorrow narratives, but let's get real for a moment - it's not creating shareholder value. Facts are facts.
I believe all management can do is control what is under their control. That means OPEX going forward. BTW - How do you think Vietnam will be funded? With fairy dust? | winnet | |
20/3/2025 08:31:24 | Because your were looking in the rear view mirror winnet. That's the past..things are moving forward now and directors are continuing to put their money into the stock. | nigelpm | |
