Also if JSE are in any other acquisition processes then the Directors wouldn't be able to buy anyway.

Pugh, why do people always think that directors always have millions and millions of spare cash sitting in their accounts just to be invested into the company they are working for. In the end it doesnt mean anything else than betting all you have on one horse. Not a risk management you would advice yourself. This are normal people that have to pay for their needs, houses, adventures and trips to enjoy life.In most cases they will have already invested what they could afford to at the start of the adventure, as they believed in the idea of what they planned to build. Maybe they won the lottery after and got more spare cash to invest, although highly unlikely dont you think?

Why are there no directors buying shares at these levels. There have been plenty of opportunities in the last 6 months, and nada from PB and co.

I dont care where the shares for the buybacks comes from. It's just boosting the buybacks and lowering the price per share, so in the end more shares can be bought. The weak pound is helping as well.

Portfolio adjustment is what was conveyed by a supposed account for Livermore - in realty if the poster is accurate that means selling a stock the PM believes has less upside (JSE) and buying a stock with more potential...

To excerpt a favorite Iron Maiden song - "Run for the hills, Run for your lives"

Writing is on the wall - hedge fund sophisticated seller has offloaded even more JSE in anticipation of the news that Montara has had production license suspended and/or FPSO requires a total overhaul..

Number 1 Rule of Warren Buffet "Protect your capital" - don't wing and prayer it... risk control....stop losses!!! Or harvest profits - no one got poor by taking profits off the table!!!

I sold in the 70s at a slight loss from my latest re-entry... I will ride Montara news if it comes or I will re-enter in the 50s... as Montara timeline has not been clarified / fine tuned and last update was open ended - holding JSE absent this clarification is a roll of the dice!!!

That brief drop to 4 v 2 / 68p v 70p was strongly bought into.

Moved to 2 v 1 / 69p v 71p (rest between 72p and 77p)

remember what david neuhauser said in july of this year...

hTTps://www.valuewalk.com/energy-is-still-king-of-the-jungle-livermore-partners/

Brent crude oil is our favorite asset especially by owning energy companies tied to it via cash flows (namely Jadestone, Vista and a handful of others).

Current and future oil generating cash flows today reflect valuations will make for exceptional investment prospects in light of this turmoil. So next to cash, it is THE asset class to own for upside as well as help provide some shelter.
...

This selling looks more like fund rebalancing prior to the end of the US tax year.

Concerns over future demand I guess. Gasoline demand down YoY in this week's report which might be impacting traders.
