You're right, they are just happy to make snide comments.

No no no....you are offensive, I don't need your sanctimonious comments, I know that I can sell and move on, I can do many things. Think before you post your inane critical unwanted comments. I will post on ITV whether you like it or not, you have a filter.

I am showing big losses on this investment so I feel for all who are deep into it. I agree with the above posters, to me there is a lack of information coming from management as though they couldn't care less about investors.

I don't know about the bottom, if this drops 7% from here ITV's mkt cap will dip below £3 billion and a cert for being kicked out of the FTSE.

slater5 Not a helpful comment. Why not just sell and move on? - Although if you really believe that are you actually holding any shares?

Owning this is painful...It is some Board of Directors who sit back in silence with no announcements of how the company is doing. I have zero confidence in McCall & Co, her and her motley board seem content to trail behind every other broadcaster and streamer, McCall and most of this useless board should be fired.

Struggling to retake and hold 106p Sad given it took closing auction manipulation to sink below it! These days the closing auction is more important than the days trading! Even less transparency in the auction - A small closed club of traders determining so much!

L2/3 not great 875k:1014k Market still seems jittery as VIX still over 20 at 22. Just listening to Bloomberg to quote 'UK markets are cheap but they should be as Brexit induced stagflation has introduced further uncertainty' Stagflation - structural labour and supply shortages introduce spiralling inflation combined with slow growth! That's not what Boris said yesterday - Is he lying again? Is stagflation now Government policy? - Good luck increasing the productivity of HGV Drivers LOL

Huge volatility again today. Tomorrow let's see if ITV follows the market bounce or cuts its own path again.

All the talk here is about a nice polite above board bid coming from a big player. I don't think it would be obvious if several entities accumulated shares enough to make a hostile bid. There must be many funds unhappy with the way the company is being run and I would agree, McCall has been a disaster. Factors playing into a hostile takeover from the acquisition side often coincide with those of any other takeover, such as believing that a company may be significantly undervalued or wanting access to a company's brand, operations, technology, or industry foothold. Hostile takeovers may also be strategic moves by activist investors looking to effect change on a company's operations. This type of bid occurs when an entity attempts to take control of a firm without the consent or cooperation of the target firm's board of directors. In lieu of the target company's board approval, the would-be acquirer may then bank on others to assist in the takeover, at which time another suitor may be lined up to agree to buy any shares available for whatever price agreed. I am not saying this is happening, but something is going on with this share.

jackothere is no evidence of accumulation, ivan has cited mutually exclusive candidates, maybe if he added some basis, other than gash like lots of small trades, or adam crozier has been appointed at bt..join the dots we would have something to talk aboutall my shares are down in line with itv over the last three months., lots of take overs coming i guess :)

stan..it's a good play to buy and hold if the buyer is building a stake. That is what could be happening with ITV, today's drop wasn't too harsh.

ITV 2021 financial results are IMHO going to beat 2014 results when the share price ranged from 179p to 276p. Priced on sale today at only 104p, ITV are a bargain, at some point the market will agree, I will ride this out until the share price recovers to at least my fair value price.

ivanreally?given the share price performance of recent months the worst moves were to accumulate or holdselling on almost any day was the right play (in hindsight)there is nothing savvy about holding itv the last few months

Just looking at the stats this morning. Nearly 2000 trades done in ITV and over 5m traded, mostly via the order book ! That's more than the total on each of the last few days trading and beats the total on a few days last week and that's including the U/T of the day !! MMs are fishing for stock and are casting their nets long and wide but catching only the tiddlers, the big fish are far too savvy !!!!

Fair comment stan, I agree Google wouldn't be a runner. However when someone wakes up to how cheap ITV and many other UK companies are, barring a crash across the pond, we could see the FTSE up 1000 points all things being well. I am a believer that history repeats and we are in that area we were in the last time inflation roared it's ugly head. At that time the FTSE dropped to 148 points in the 70's and great UK companies dropped to penny share prices. This is fill your boots time. IMO

jackono, i was just highlighting thats why they always seem to overpay for businesses they acquire- at the time you think it was expensive but remember they are months ahead of everyone else and they detect market trends well in advance and they use it enormouslyi dont think itv moves the needle for any of the big tech companies making 1bn per week

ITV my view is they will announce some positive news in November and the share price will react. Guess someone is preparing a takeover so the lower the share price goes and the more investors lose hope it will all be looking like a lowly offer at somewhere around £1.75p. Should be 220p or more for the lot including studios, back catalogue and shows that attract more UK viewers than anything on the streamers. When it happens, will be it be recommended for acceptance by the Board. My opinion, DYOR.
