Smart telly, how did the parole board interview go this morning. Did you manage to dupe them again?

What a wkr. He still doesn’t realise that he shouldn’t be sleeping with his sister.

This is what I mean. We’re being manipulated that Covid infection rate is reducing. Take a look at today’s figure when it’s released. Explain that one?????

Buys 1.48m Sells 1m. Looking at the daily chart every time the share price tries to recover it then falls back and find a lower low. Big boys are in charge, how low do they want to take us?

That's all in the rear view mirror.I am more interested why we are currently being shaken down again. It wouldn't change any future bid price at least in the short term and it's also not driving up the volume?

Thanks Ivan, so if we take it that LG paid 185p per share for 259.8 million shares or 6.4% paying £481m. The other 2.5% of free shares. Total 8.9%

What price did LG acquire the remaining 1%? to total 9.9%.

Total holding reported of 398.5m shares or 9.9%. This would give an average price of 120.70p.

So what LG are now saying is that by loaning out there ITV shareholding to Goldman Sachs, GS have reduced their average price from 120.70p to 75p. Reducing it by 45.70p. This takes some believing reducing their average price by 37.8%.

It looks pretty much what a number of us suspected. That Liberty and Goldman worked together to push the share price down to enable Liberty to retain their 9.9% stake at a much lower cost price. We saw the share price recover as Goldman market updates showed that their interest in ITV was systematically reducing. I don't understand why this isn't covered under market manipulation rules?

I did, although the talk from Liberty changed somewhat since then. In the results out in the US, Liberty claimed to have made a loss on their ITV stake and didn't receive dividends as the stock was loaned out to GS, 6.4% at 185p was paid then 2.5% was acquired courtesy of that OTC swap deal back in July 2015. Then recently Liberty claimed that their 9.9% stake in ITV had only cost them 75p after being handed back their stake from GS. Smoke and mirrors at its finest !!

Ivan, if I'm not mistaken didn't you post a link a while back from LG's results Q&A that stated that GS had reduced LG's ITV average price down to 92p? Or it may have been a large percentage of the 9.9% holding.

Me, brave man ??? Spare a thought for Mr Malone who has seen his stake in ITV dive by the best part of £90m since the year high in June, although I'm sure GS has helped him out with a few quid, not that he needs it mind you !

Yes agree but CH4 debacle could run and run and run and run!!!
Mainly as the whole sale of CH4 was politically motivated by his boss (according to Mr Cummings)The Daily Telegraph! The problem is it makes absolutely no sense without the motive of seeking retribution.

Anyone that missed the recent BBC/Mr cummings interview should watch it on iPlayer.
It explains everything.

I can think of no other reason than the ITV BOD intentions are to make ITV look more attractive to a predator by saving cash.

As of 30th June 2021 ITV Net Debt was £467m (2020 £783m) a reduction of £316m.
Cash in the bank £704m minus tarp payment this month £256m = £448m in the bank.

To not pay a dividend in H1 2021 is plainly obvious to me that either the BOD have plans for the saved cash, ie Channel4 or they're saving cash for a takeover. Asset strippers love companies with little debt and cash in the bank. If ITV were a USA company the share price would reflect the true valuation that most of us can see. IMHO.

I really can't explain why they held onto the cash? - Not without resorting to speculation.
They should have paid a dividend.
Ad revenues rolling in for at least first 9 months.
Strange decision probably even worse than doing nothing.
I am not a fan of her ex EasyJet CFO.
Hopefully the selling pressure will get exhausted at some point soon.

Once again on very low volume the buyers out number the sellers, the share price almost regained its early losses only for the market to drop the share price yet again. 283k buys 172k sells. How are they keeping this share price down? Share price down 1p.

L2/3 poor since open.
900k:1100K
Strong selling pressure since open but slightly weakening as FTSE rises.
Hopefully will get overwhelmed soon?
Consequence of unjustified deferred dividend? - Company awash with cash ad revenues continue to rise further.
Mr Market not happy!

Smart telly, you’re not very smart at all.
The constant drivel. I must really wind you up. Lmao.
Keep losing. Lol.

Made a good £2k on itv yesterday whilst smart telly has had to take his kids out of private school. And his mum and dad can no longer stay in the nursing home. What a wkr.
