30/7/2021 12:49 | Nige, I guess it pays not to second guess the market. 124p to 111.1p - 13p reduction in 2.5days on the back of results is not unheard of when it comes to ITV. If they’d gone ahead with a dividend then we may have been looking at 129p today. | smartie6
30/7/2021 12:48 | Well I did predict when the share price was around 124p that by looking at the chart I thought that it could well drop to 110p. Not far to go now. We've touched 111.10p. I should have listened to myself and sold a few. I just hope that 110p is the bottom. | nige co
30/7/2021 12:37 | ADVFN reports that there are slightly more buys than sell yet the share price is down 2.41%. | nige co
30/7/2021 12:31 | Time to pop back on. Now girls this is the price that Smartie feels is worthwhile. 111 to 112 buy in. Happy to invest at this level. Looking for 20% plus side. Next time don’t give me the shxt. | smartie6
30/7/2021 12:10 | Cash exceptionals & earnouts - At Q1 they stated these would amount to about £190m in 2021, largely related to their accrued earnouts, which includes Talpa. For H1 they have stated that Talpa alone is £256m (to be paid next month). So at least £66m more than forecast at Q1.Additional earnouts yet to be paid (possibly next year) include Tomorrow Studios and Cattleya. In their 2020 AR they state that their worst case estimate for earnouts could be £427m. Given the increase in Talpa payment, paying out another £170m (or more) is IMO possible next year. That said they do have a total liquidity of £1.5bn. | disc0dave45
30/7/2021 12:04 | No problem Stan. | nige co
30/7/2021 11:36 | Im not sure britbox will ever make money on that basis ITV still has value, but that is the digital hope part of the price. Take that away and its sub 80p again, I have owned the share but don't presently and until the numbers look better on that side I am going to watch but stay out. | finkie
30/7/2021 11:19 | nigei only mention as you said cash was 704 in reply to someone earlier... | stansmith3
30/7/2021 11:10 | PE vs Industry: ITV is good value based on its PE Ratio (12.6x) compared to the UK Media industry average (34.4x). PE vs Market: ITV is good value based on its PE Ratio (12.6x) compared to the UK market (23.9x). Fair Value 175p | nige co
30/7/2021 11:01 | Yes obviously Stan, so cash will drop to £448m from £704, net debt will still be £467m down from £783m in 2020. | nige co
30/7/2021 10:54 | nigeyup, so net cash is really 704-256 | stansmith3
30/7/2021 10:52 | britbox is on track to lose 40m+ this year toonot good, total losses must now be around 100manother year or two of that will require a lot of success later, just as the early adopters start leaving having watched all the good stuff | stansmith3
30/7/2021 10:52 | Yes that's what I was saying. The tarp will come out of the cash, and the debt figure will remain the same. | nige co
30/7/2021 10:47 | nigelol, not reallythe debt figure is artificially low and the cash figure is artificially highso the debt figure wont change, but the cash will reduce when the debt not included in the net debt is paid | stansmith3
30/7/2021 10:45 | More to lose getting out than staying in I feel. A bid could happen anytime and then how would we all feel if we had sold out. Someone is trying to cause panic to free up shares for a buyer, well he won't be getting my shares. If I can hold at 50p I can do it again. | nige co
30/7/2021 10:39 | It's a dangerous share - the whole book can flip in a second! BT, BARC etc follow more traditional and predictable paths | hades1
30/7/2021 10:35 | I know one sure bet, if I was to sell I would guarantee the share price would rise and a bid would follow. | nige co
30/7/2021 10:32 | Agreed will leave alone. I think my buys caused the drop! | hades1
30/7/2021 10:29 | Stan, well either debt will rise to account for the tarp or the cash will drop? | nige co
30/7/2021 10:28 | About 40 mins ago the share price turned green but it didn't last long and down she goes. This will be worth it all if we get a bid, I agree someone is keeping this low for a reason. | nige co
30/7/2021 10:26 | nigethe 704m cash is before 256m talpa deduction | stansmith3
30/7/2021 10:21 | From earlier post I placed a few very small buys earlier. Each time they were executed they dropped the price immediately after. Someone discouraging any buying despite drop. I have direct access to the order book | hades1
30/7/2021 10:04 | Ivan I assume you just having a laugh? Can't check as behind paywall. Lost my sense of humour with ITV so don't find it funny. | hades1
30/7/2021 10:00 | Here's an extract copied from UK Business on-line today '.........In further news, shares in the UK broadcaster ITV were down sharply again this morning. Since the company re-entered the FTSE last month it has now lost £1bn in its market value despite this week announcing records profits for June and a return to dividend payments to its shareholders. When asked why the price was so weak and ITV being the worst performer in the FTSE 100 this month a spokesman for Goldman Sachs commented ' its all due to Brexit'. | ivanborsky |
