21/11/2020 13:51 | fine, but i do value your postsbt if you are interested had a similar day, the next year looks pretty bright there?theyve both had similar runs recently? | stansmith3
21/11/2020 13:33 | Stansmith3Let's just agree to disagree | boix
21/11/2020 12:50 | the fall is unwarranted because revenues are only down eleven percent?is that your point?so the recent rise was perfect and the fall unwarranted?stock prices are never perfect and always relative to other stocks, doesnt matter how much a bargain itv is, if people see better value elsewhere they will sell itv and buy that putting pressure on itv spitv is doing very well just now, if people want to sell it for whatever reason thats fine, unwarranted is a ridiculous thing to say | stansmith3

21/11/2020 08:08 | stansmith3: exactly! Nail on the head. Nearly all my stocks fell as all were covid recovery plays. The ones that fell the most were the highest profile, often FTSE100. In the scheme of things I see it as quite normal correction before goes up again. Alas nothing goes up in a straight line. The dramatic price rise might be because covid investors could see the a more rapid recovery in production after vaccine - perhaps even a massive increase in production to meet the huge demand.. My view is a more rapid rise in production AND advertising has by no means been factored into the price. We have a long way to go. Perhaps do a five year graph for BCE (Canadian TV) then do a five year graph for ITV. You will note that ITV theoretically could be at the start of a FIVE year recovery play. | netcurtains
20/11/2020 22:56 | you could say some of the gains in the last two weeks were unwarranted? the further it rises the more appealing other shares get, itv really only has another 40% max in it before a full return to pre covid earnings? quite a few others covid battered shares have more room to run? | stansmith3
20/11/2020 20:28 | BOIX: It seems to me you've lost the money you could have made if you had sold. It sounds like you're a momentum trader (or similar) so for you its a real loss. I'm a target price trader. For me ITV has not yet reached its target. Selling on momentum for me is like gambling because I either dont understand it well enough or I dont have the technology available to measure it well enough. Hence I go for the target price approach - based on fundamentals, prospects and sentiment. | netcurtains
20/11/2020 20:21 | Holding since 60s so no loss yet but todays unwarranted fall concerns. But thanks | boix
20/11/2020 20:12 | BOIX: It sounds like you should have sold. Sorry to here of your loss. | netcurtains
20/11/2020 20:07 | Nothing you mention get's close to ITV at 5.3%!I worry this will retrace all the way back down but let's see on Monday. | boix
20/11/2020 18:57 | Let's hope we get a bounce on MondayHave a good weekend | boix
20/11/2020 18:37 | Well done BOIX! You did a lot better than me. The big fallers for me: BT, Virgin, Sainsburys, ITV, HostelWorld and NatWest but others also.. All were very big rises just a day or so ago! | netcurtains
20/11/2020 18:36 | More concerning it is now below support and pivot point. | boix
20/11/2020 18:29 | Ftse up 0.3% and other than ITV my portfolio -1 to +5% today.A 5.3% fall in one day for no reason is unusual in my opinion.ITVs L2 book was heavily sell side loaded all day but selling increased post 1430 US open. | boix
20/11/2020 18:06 | Alex1621: Thanks that is a good sign. It had fallen over past few days and often moves a day or so before ITV. So its good to see a rise - its an early warning - touchwood! | netcurtains
20/11/2020 18:04 | And STV up 4.2% today. | alex1621
20/11/2020 18:03 | BOIX: Its not strange - loads of stuff down over past few days. Nothing strange at all.. It would be weird if BT went up loads and ITV down (or vis verca). But no way can you call it strange when ALL the high flyers fall... Its what you would expect. I'm staggered (seriously) that you think it strange. | netcurtains
20/11/2020 17:49 | No reason I can find? Don't believe its anything to do with the Jeremy Kyle show but certainly very strange with no news. | boix
20/11/2020 17:32 | I would suggest the news about the Jeremy Kyle show might have contributed to today's fall I T V will not be seen in a good light I don t know if they can be held liable but carrying on from their other trash TV show (love island) I doubt if this will go away anytime soon | jubberjim
20/11/2020 17:31 | I would suggest the news about the Jeremy Kyle show might have contributed to today's fall I T V will not be seen in a good light I don t know if they can be held liable but carrying on from their other trash TV show (love island) I doubt if this will go away anytime soon | jubberjim
20/11/2020 16:41 | Just the closing auction. Always high volume with ITV But down 5.3% for no obvious reason on a low volume day? Stalled brexit talks? BT also down 4.5% One Friday afternoon took out all this weeks gains and more. Buy side on L2 under pressure all day. Let's hope next week things improve? | boix
20/11/2020 16:40 | Someone offloading 9million shares?! | sao1
20/11/2020 16:22 | Strange move on no news, with a Brexit deal perhaps next week? | alex1621 |
