The intraday high post March crash was early June at about 91p, so is it correct in saying if this closes above that then it's broken key resistance. Not a TA.

Not in the magazine but a general piece on the website about the plight of the BBC and ITV compared to the new streaming services of Disney, Netflix and Amazon. States that ITV will likely be a takeover target. That's been talked about for years but it may be that in 2021 it will actually happen ... in my opinion.

indeed but most days when bother to look they seem to finish a bit up. No real idea why - perhaps they are really big in internet shopping. Its not normally my style (pe25) but seems, on the whole, to do well for me. My bombed out pub chain is better of course - MAB (its trading miles below NAV - most of that NAV is property and I think property prices are generally rising) - its easy to trade - narrow spread.

Net. I look where they have come from, share price wise. Ideally buying shares which are over 70% down on recent highs, more scope for movement IMO.

hhh1: I cant believe you dont have any Frasers (Sports Direct and Evans Bikes)... They do GREAT Christmas presents and they advertise a great deal at Christmas on ITV...

Management appears to be doing the right things and, according to Investor's Champion, if they get the positioning right, there could be a fantastic recovery story here.

Historic returns on equity of over 50% highlight the appeal should they get things right, but in such a fast changing market there is evident risk they will continue to be left behind.

I think confirmation that celeb was going ahead already factored into the sp, its what took it out of the low 60s iircThe big miss was love island, they produced it for the usa but not here, they have brought that forward to early summer 21, thats 5million viewers of the most desired demographic every night for six weeks...

Exactly that curtains, everyone will be dying to advertise. I'm a celebrity will be interesting both for the revised format and companies advertising during the commercial breaks and also its various spin-off shows and repeats on ITV etc. Just imagine if the castle's resident ghost makes an appearance, ratings will go through the roof as well !! WIN WIN !!!

If this is going to have a "booming" advertising Christmas but a struggle production Christmas since advertising makes the bigger money for ITV (I think) does this mean ITV will have, on balance a "good christmas" and good "new year sales" and thus the share price is miles too cheap?

For example if assume we've all had vaccine by the SUMMER this means from CHRISTMAS onwards all the airlines etc will possibly be ADVERTISING ZILLIONS OF SUMMER HOLIDAY ADVERTS..

well, and I actually feel with the interest in the new place of filming
