The world's about to take a climate handcart to the infernal, says our BBC. Will oceans burn before ITM lands another order?https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-45084144

yes JCB lack of progress is indeed gobsmacking! same old problem of proof of concept/ Rand D may tick all the boxes, but the subsequent move to commercial implementation is a very different kettle of fish. (and this particular kettle is a tad on the stinky side at the moment?)

W Very good read, and motivation to switch. It calls for Ambulance mannufacturers to fit the Hydrogen alternative at production. Ford was at oine point considering fitting the Revolve conversion kit at their factory Gobsmacked as to why JCB have as far as we know, been slow converting diesel equipment

4 Months ago, April RNS Graham Cooley, CEO of ITM Power, said: "This feasibility study has resulted in a close working relationship with Northern Gas Networks and the results are very exciting Four locations would be suitable for a large-scale first-of-a-kind power-to-gas demonstration supplying the stored energy to either majority domestic or industrial customers gas customers. Of the four locations Low Thornley in Gateshead is recommended as the most suitable site for deployment of a large-scale first-of-a-kind power-to-gas demonstration facility in the size range 50-100MW. Low Thornley, the site of the InTEGReL (Integrated Transport Electricity and Gas Research Laboratory) facility in Gateshead, is capable of supporting large scale Power-to-Gas throughout the year from peak demands in winter, to the lower demand conditions experienced in the summer months. Hydrogen injected at Low Thornley would deliver stored energy in the form of low carbon gas to over 243,000 customers. Also, Low Thornley' s close proximity to the A1 and the urban centres of Newcastle and Gateshead would provide opportunity for local export of hydrogen necessary to develop a local hydrogen refuelling station network which would enable fuel cell electric vehicles to travel from London to Aberdeen. The recommended next steps are: Undertake a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study for a large-scale power-to-gas demonstrator in the size range 50-100MW to be built at the Northern Gas Networks Low Thornley site, to fully scope the programme and to establish the cost to build, install, commission and demonstration the facility.

hTTps://www.ey.com/uk/en/industries/power---utilities/ey-the-potential-role-for-hydrogen-in-a-decarbonised-energy-system : Incentivising high-capacity, long-duration storage (eg removing incentives for curtailment of renewable power and removing final consumption fees from storage) Viz : Create storage : Shell should create Hydrogen storage banks to compete with batteries Linking power and gas systems to enable wider decarbonisation (eg diversion of funds away from CCS towards power to gas applications). Viz : Bring on Northern Gas Networks These are clear actions to enable the role of Hydrogen and open up a potential path to the UK’s long-term decarbonisation targets.

Everything is there for great success except our management lacking skills to manage and sell. It is where it is, and perhaps this will bring Investec and major stakeholders to insist on a fresh team who know what they are doing outside the workshop

I expect a fall in share price if he doesnt produce something concrete. The 200 mill. pipeline sounded great a year ago and the shares soared but nothing was delivered .the recent 250 mill pipeline announcement did nothing for the shares so no real news will not be good news no matter how he polishes it

I expect nothing new with the results, however I expect the Cooley roadshow to bring renewed interest with institutional holders backed up by investec's clout. We know there is business that is very close to tipping over from tender to negotiation and it seems madness to have a share trading at this level given the quantified potential - the tender pipeline is predominantly Europe and UK so Sumitomo deal to drive FE interest and opportunity. 2019 will be the first year when we get more than one large order IMO and finally we'll be back to sniffing breakeven. Will be interesting to see how much fuel we've sold, and to get an update re the bus refueling station.
