From oil to hydrogen.


The 20MW hydrogen generation plant on the 1.7-hectare site would generate, on average, five tonnes of hydrogen a day, with a maximum of six stored on site at any one time; but the site has consent for up to 20 tonnes; the electricity coming from the substation on site, utilising green electricity from new and existing UK windfarms.

RWE have perhaps the biggest hydrogen ambitions (that I can think of anyway) and have been key to ITM’s latest sales progress.

I would watch to see if there is any change in tone from RWE, in regards to hydrogen.

I would go further and also watch for any panic in the ‘renewables217; sector, especially wind.

How reliant is wind on government support, subsidy, etc? Genuine question..

Summary .. they sure don't see it as anything viable within a decade, or money no issue today as shown in some other sub sectors

No point buying the entity, when everyone else is running from the sub sector

Sure. But 80% of sectors have a ways to go for historic new lows. This one there already and the storms haven't even reached land yet

Economic risks too high to embark on any new risky projects - across the board, I would guess, not just hydrogen..

While I don't agree completely with your take on that, considering ITM had already cancelled the technology that would be used for the project (R&D), one must ask why they are not proceeding with Poseidon, or any other ITM product for the project..?

You see ITM has changed big time. No more false promises to customers or in fact shareholders. What you see is what you get no worthless MOU’s if they get an order they will announce it. Other companies are now going through the pain barrier of having Electrolysers failing. If it don’t work it won’t leave the factory.
