Phew - I wondered if something more fundamental had happened...

"Lower down the market, ITE Group made the biggest loss on the FTSE 250 after analysts at Investec cut their rating on the stock from "buy" to "hold". Stock in the conference organiser fell 5 per cent to 226.3p."

I was approached by telephone yesterday by an agent asking me If I would like to sell my shares they would give me a very good offer, I refused because I do not do business this way. I wonder if any one has had the same phone calls?
This has happened to me for the second time this year.

"ITE has delivered a good performance during the first half of the year as the recovery seen last year turned to sustained growth in our core markets. This momentum has been complemented by the initial contribution from the recently acquired businesses as well as the organic development of our exhibition portfolio. The acquisitions of MVK and Krasnodar Expo have strengthened and diversified our Russian business considerably, adding 40 new exhibitions. The events that have run to date have performed in line with our expectations and the integration is going well.

The Moscow market is now trading well and our regional markets are steadily improving. As at 12 May 2011 the Group has booked revenues for the current financial year of £137.1m (2010: £98.1m), which includes sales from newly acquired business as well as organic growth. On a like-for-like basis volume sales are more than 10% ahead of this time last year. The financial position of the Group remains strong with net cash of £13.4m at 12 May 2011. Good trading conditions in our markets allied with their longer term potential give the Board confidence in ITE's future prospects".

Positive outlook

Lot of goodwill on the balance sheet which is fairly typical for a media company

1/2 revenue from Russia and 1/3 from CIS

Anyone have any idea as to a specific cause to the big drop today?
Or is the price being dragged down by the market?

You guys have done well here, I sold out, well erm, er, some time ago that was rather embarrassing at about 75p on the bounce off the bottom, thinking they might take quite a while to get going again, which I suppose they have, except that my investment elsewhere stayed static.

Its always been a well run company ever since I bought in years ago, so I should have known better. Can't remember what p/e it used to run on though.

Good luck with it.

positive results and a re-rating looks on the cards. If ITE can maintain above the new support level of £2 tomorrow (profit taking) we could be looking at the £2.50 level by early next year. Dare we say breakout?

The same for me - the results changed the fundamentals I use to set a buy or sell.
Fortunately I decided to wait a day or two before selling to see how the results were taken. I think I'll stay in a little longer now.
