has anyone noted the interesting (high!) volumes on this today and a day or so ago. Look like potentially MM transfers, but must be an indication of further corporate activity. Any views?

Riverdiver,

The VS holdings are the same, you can't count them separately. Where's the stock coming from? - maybe from Lewis who's been selling recently. If so, Lewis has enough shares left for VS to get over 30% so I don't expect too much price action until VS start getting closer to 30% and the rumours intensify. Obviously, Aberforth are taking a position well in advance hoping something will happen. One for the watchlist definitely.

I don't bother to try and read anything in to what appears to be typical price fluctuations. Its a speculative stock. I am more interested in whats further down the line and some people obviously have a lot of confidence in ITE. Some big trades again today and I wouldn't be surprised to see Veronis has added; would you?

Why the price drop today diver? Are the MMs spooking weak holders into selling for Veronis to get cheap stock!!!

Veronis Suhler have been buying aggressively for the last year. VS&A hold 20.05% and Veronis Suhler Stevenson 18.61%. Thats 38.66%. And ITE have an ex Veronis employee at the helm. In the last few days Aberforth Smaller Companies snapped up 3.03% and a director was buying. ITE has been targeted before and rumours of a buyout have been doing the rounds. Looks very interesting!!

ITE Group plc

Appointment of new Non-Executive Director


ITE Group plc ('ITE' or 'The Company'), the international exhibitions
specialist, today announces the appointment of Ross Stobie to the Board of
Directors as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr Stobie, 51, has considerable experience and expertise in emerging markets,
particularly through his work for BG Group plc (formerly British Gas) over the
past six years. He joined BG specifically to run the Group's Russian
operations, where as President of BG Russia he had direct responsibility for all
the Group's substantial interests in that region. More recently he has held the
position of Chief Executive BG India. Prior to joining BG Group he held senior
positions at BHP and BP.

Mr Stobie currently holds no other Non-Executive Directorships. There is
nothing further to disclose in relation to his appointment under Rule 16.4 of
the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.

Commenting on the new appointment, Iain Paterson, Chairman, said:


I would like to welcome Ross Stobie to the Board. His experience, particularly
in Russia, is ideally suited to our business and I am confident that he will be
a valuable member of our Board. '
