cyberbub, I would expect things to be at the stage of trial products, hopefully a build up happens if the end products are well received in the market. What other alternatives are available to the FCMG manufacturer? It's still early days, a few signs of progress would be welcome.

Pugugly Nouryon are not a direct consumer brand that's true, but would they really be committing to agreements and substantial purchases if their end-users didn't want the stuff?!

TPI – re 2159 for which we still await an answer unless you are trying to wind me up your apparent lack of marketing knowledge is only surpassed by the so called arrogant Investment Expert who flogged an investment trust to the gullible with the word Patient in its title -- Sorry for your losses here and also if you were suckered into any of his vehicles.

just answer this simple question

would Nouryon launch officially a product BEFORE starting trials? "without long term manufacturing and consumer trials" ?

you don't need to answer because you know it and we know it

those long term manufacturing and consumer trials have ALREADY BEEN carried out and obviously have been successful.

you don't need any qualifications to understand this basic and obvious concept, just an IQ score above pi

or just some level of honesty

We are in a key stage of establishing use of our polymers as high-value functional ingredients in an increasingly broad base of everyday consumer products. Our results in the first half of 2019 show that we are making significant progress and gaining critical recognition of the value of our polymers in a wide range of end-product formulations:-- Product demand from large unmet customer needs. The bio-based content and unique functionality of our proprietary polymers align closely with major trends and unmet needs in consumer products:o Safer consumer products. Consumers are increasingly seeking safer products from sustainable resources that do not persist in the environment when making buying decisions. In addition, lawmakers in more and more countries are enacting regulations and implementing programs for safer and more sustainable products. Global, specialty, and private-label consumer brands are responding by reformulating products to keep up with these trends. Itaconix polymers can meet formulators' needs for new ingredients in a range of major product categories.o New product claims. Brands across all spectrums of home and personal care products compete for customers with new product claims around price and performance. From odour removal in carpet cleaners to weightless styling in hair products, the unique functionalities of Itaconix polymers are enabling formulators to add new performance claims in a growing range of consumer products.o Lower costs. The multiple functionalities of Itaconix polymers can also reduce direct and indirect product costs by displacing two or more ingredients in some formulations. For example, formulators have reduced material, packaging and shipping costs by using one Itaconix polymer in automatic dish detergents instead of a traditional chelant and dispersant.-- High-value functional ingredients. Based on their unique or multiple functionality, Itaconix polymers are a key ingredient in determining the performance and value of a wide range of consumer product formulations. Recent examples of breakthrough consumer products enabled by Itaconix polymers are:o A major consumer carpet cleaning brand uses Croda's ZINADOR(TM) 22L, supplied by Itaconix, to eliminate fresh and residual odours that are not removed by mere cleaning.o A specialty detergent brand uses Itaconix(R) CHT(TM) 122 for a new compact automatic dish detergent pod sold through e-commerce that saves on shipping costs while still matching national premium brand performance.o Nouryon's Amaze(TM) SP, supplied by Itaconix, offers 100% bio-based content to meet a new trend in weightless hair styling.o A specialty personal care brand uses Itaconix odour removal polymer in its aluminium-free underarm deodorants to eliminate residues left on clothing.

TPI - You are showing your apparent complete ignorance of consumer goods marketing
- Please go and take marketing 101 -

Nouryon are a bulk chemical supplier to consumer goods producers such as P&G, Unilever, GSK, Loreal etc - They do not make or market CONSUMER brands -

Please go and study their website before you put your foot in it again
"Nouryon - a global specialty chemicals leader. ... Markets worldwide rely on our essential chemistry in the manufacture of everyday products such as paper, plastics, building materials, food, pharmaceuticals, and personal care items. "

Unless and until manufacturers can be motivated to vary their product formulations to include an ITX formulation into their brands ITX will go nowhere.

I suppose to help get traction ITX need some sort of symbol (greenie happy clappy) to go on the side of consumer product packaging to indicate it's plant based 'greeness'. Thus environmentally motivated consumers start to look for, and demand that symbol. Obviously far too small as yet to make those sort of demands, although it would benefit the end manufacturer too.

It's not yet visible if they have any presence in the FCMG space, it's a punt not an investment yet.

Parob - As I mentioned above sales only appear to be to distributors - Nouryon are not an end user -They are a supplier to the trade - ITX will not (imo) get real traction unless and until their products are incorporated in end products for retail and industrial sales and they appear dependent on Nouryon to get these sales - Given Nouryon's size and turnover ITX's value to them is minimal. Hence my worry about traction.

No. Definitely a CONSUMER carpet cleaning brand as stated in the results. Go and take a look. Also worth remembering Amaze share price was only launched by Nouryon in April 2019:hTTps://www.nouryon.com/news-and-events/news-overview/2019/nouryon-launches-bio-based-polymer-for-weightless-hair-styling/2 April 2019Nouryon launches bio-based polymer for 'weightless' hair stylingThe new polymer is a result of Nouryon's exclusive global supply agreement with Itaconix to market bio-based polymers to customers in the personal care market."Consumers are showing an increased interest in lighter textures that allow an effortless, yet flawless hairstyle. It is difficult for formulators to achieve this with traditional, synthetic styling polymers," explained Jens Müller, Global Technical Marketing Manager Personal Care at Nouryon. "Amaze share price is plant based and provides a unique weightless hold while enabling a very natural look and feel on the hair. It offers humidity resistant style retention, volume and anti-frizz performance comparable to synthetic polymers."AB Ghosh, Managing Director Surface Chemistry at Nouryon, commented: "Innovation is the backbone of our product development and key to our success, and we use partnerships like the one with Itaconix to accelerate innovation. We will continue to develop more novel bio-based solutions for customers, helping them to meet consumer demands for more natural products."Nouryon launched Amaze share price at the in-cosmetics Global trade show in Paris, France. Recently the company also expanded its offering to customers in the personal care market with a new film-forming polymer for use in long-lasting, high SPF sunscreen products.

Parob - Thanks - Would have given ITX far more credence if cleaning brand had been named - so potential investors could assess value - Sounds like an industrial rather than consumer brand.

Breakeven (run rate) will be at least 12 months away, unless things go spectacularly well. But the market looks forward. If the revenue growth rate H-on-H is over 100% and the same 30% (or higher) margins are maintained then the current share price will be a distant memory IMO.

At least the doubt over the Woodford fund has been removed, it's being wound up, so if they still have anything vested here it won't be here for long. Yes a bit of good news indicating breakeven near at hand, could see this swiftly change direction.
