I reckon that there could potentially be a secondary placing of 12.3% of ICG's shares before the end of 2012 -

I presume that the lack of a Cork-Swansea ferry service will be slightly positive.

Hi folks,

Just posted Part III of The Great Irish Share Valuation Project on my blog. I'm setting a Fair Value Price Target for every listed Irish company. So far I've valued almost 3 dozen companies, including Irish Continental:

I hope you'll take a look (plse don't hesitate to comment/email me), and perhaps become a regular reader.

Cheers,

these guys are creaming it as the airlines struggle....funny thing is lots of people will be forced to travel by sea for the first time, and some might actually become repeat customers....so I think the volcanic crisis will generate more than a tenporary blip for the ferry folk

Now the fun starts.
Eamon Rothwell holds about €40m worth of shares. Does he walk or come to terms with Moonduster or indeed make a counter offer.
Its interesting that they have named the bid moonduster. This was the name of a famous yacht owned by Denis Doyle. He is dead but presumably had a relationship to the bidders.
There could be a while to run in this bid yet. All we need now is some international shipping name to decide that they too want ICG.

Price fall beginning to reflect the reality of business on the Irish Sea.
At some stage this must be value but I suspect somewhat below the ceeent price of 10.5 Euro
