23/10/2020 11:11 | Looks like a good move to market them in the US, UK, and possibly EU (as April 6 have a Munich office. | red ninja
22/10/2020 22:31 | News today that should help increase exposure. "........achieve our ambitious global expansion objectives in the coming years”. | p1nkfish
19/10/2020 10:33 | Very good news. They need to drum up interest as someone us selling quite a few. Quite a few is relative given its tightly held. | p1nkfish
19/10/2020 08:25 | Good to see another contract extension where the customer has taken more products. | horseyphil
17/10/2020 11:36 | Absolutely, EU has the hallmarks of becoming a stagnant backwater for innovative infrastructure GIS. Nice and protected but ultimately stagnating compared to other markets. Switzerland might be different, even Turkey. | p1nkfish
17/10/2020 11:08 | Good point p1nkfish, and that deal goes even further than the existing EU-Japan software deal it replaces. Maybe Japan will turn out to be a bit of a sleeper. While IQG's slow progress in Europe is frustrating it's always worth remembering that the US, Canada and Japan have a combined population of 500mn and thousands of prospective customers. | horseyphil
17/10/2020 08:35 | Also basic trade deal on software for Japan/UK won't hurt. Looking at IQG current trend, £1 by this time next year if continues as is. If growth accelerates, with break-even, good chance much sooner. | p1nkfish
17/10/2020 07:29 | The new Japan Prime Minister has made digitalisation of the economy and improving IT infrastructure a key priority, setting up a new digital agency and creating a Minister for digital transformation. That supports the recent optimistic comments of IQGEO's Japanese sales manager. | horseyphil
17/10/2020 00:18 | New video for the 2020 meet-up related to Cloud. | p1nkfish
13/10/2020 13:40 | To be a £1 share we probably need a decent contract from a Tier 1 household name in European telecoms, ideally a UK operator. Without that, we will probably languish in the 60-75p range, unless we land something really dramatic in the US or Japan. I wonder what the company's market cap would be if it were listed in the US? | horseyphil
13/10/2020 12:32 | I think it still suffers from the association with Ubisense which, let's face it, was a great disappointment - seemed to have great technology but turned out to be a very poorly-managed cash-burner. Maybe as revenue grows and it, hopefully, starts generating cash it will attract a bit more attention, but I suspect it's one of those shares that will always be below the radar, especially as Kestrel and Columbia totally control the company's future. Probably wake up one morning to a RNS saying that an agreed bid has been made - that could be 3 months from now or 3 years. Personally, I am very bullish on its prospects - and that's from someone who has had a lot of involvement in the geospatial industry. | horseyphil
13/10/2020 12:15 | Surely most of IQG is in the hands of funds already. The rest of the market will take more notice when IQG announces more tier 1 deals and increasing revenues. However, as I believe you have said best to get in early. Also I believe a lot of people are drawn to US stocks like Tesla which tripled at one point this year, but is possibly very over priced. It is difficult to argue with investing in stocks like Tesla as long as you are not still invested when the music stops. | red ninja
13/10/2020 12:02 | I don't yet understand why the wider market is unaware of IQG or its potential. Are we wrong or is this just too small and boring or not making enough noise about itself? | p1nkfish
13/10/2020 11:56 | horsey, yes. These little bits and pieces can grow nicely and hard for competition to displace. I still look at the $50/month/seat figure from a while back. Even with CAS saying getting 40% margin it can still add up nicely and more or less straight to the bottom line now they nearing having overheads covered by existing business. The Richard Petti interview made it clear they have seen small adoptions grow over time in % of workforce picking it up and modules added. Just gettingh a foot in the door leads to growth. | p1nkfish
13/10/2020 11:35 | The US electricity, gas and water industries are highly fragmented, with many thousands of operators. Looks like they have adopted the approach of using partners/resellers to tap the smaller utilities, leaving them free to focus on the big operators. Not hard to imagine small utilities being attracted to the complete life cycle of products and network management that IQGEO now provides, so even a small operator could turn out to be a decent-sized, long-term account. | horseyphil
13/10/2020 11:25 | Yes CAS could be a good revenue earner although to what degree is a bit of a guess at the moment. | red ninja
13/10/2020 09:59 | I guess this wasn't RNS'ed as there are no hard $ figures associated but in this arrangement lies a good foundation for growth. Every small addition, over time, tends to add more seats and/or more modules/services. Look at the potential numbers. The US market, outside of the very hig boys, is now covered and being well penetrated. This side of the Atlantic looks the sick man of the globe. [...] | p1nkfish
09/10/2020 12:18 | No easy to stock to acquire. A good sign. Do some rough maths on the potential, even low ball figures, via CAS and it's an interesting revenue booster given time. | p1nkfish
09/10/2020 10:46 | IQG have a Cambridge and Franfurt am Main offices which should lead the European sales effort. I am not sure where their sales staff are based. | red ninja
09/10/2020 09:58 | Europe way behind US as usual. What are they doing about that? Not a lot according to the news. What about getting some of the US team over here, at least they have some idea how to win business. The EU lag is so obvious its almost deliberate. | p1nkfish
08/10/2020 23:17 | Potentially big. "CSA will initially offer their new IQGeo based mobile software to customers of its existing GIS mapping solution. Over time, it will be made available across North America to CSA’s entire customer base of more than 160 utilities along with non-CSA utilities." | p1nkfish
08/10/2020 23:08 | New software reseller as a co-op of utilities by looks of it - | p1nkfish
08/10/2020 22:59 | Customer churn, IQGEO mention. | p1nkfish |
