03/2/2018 11:45 | I followed Sweenoid at IMG when they dropped to around 20p He never got much wrong there !! | dickiebird2
03/2/2018 11:35 | Would strongly argue that this report has been already priced in to the current price seen as its nearly 2 months old! I will have a good read of this report to see what the "concerns" are. I'm in for the long run so if PIs decide to sell will help me scoop up more at a lower price and will also help the hedgies close their shorts at lower prices... having read the Barclays research the prospects look very good. Personally I have never seen as many top investment banks decide to initiate coverage on a small cap company so they clearly see the same opportunities that they feel should be presented to their clients. Let's wait and see... look forward to hearing from Sweenoid regarding all this. | drobinson1991
03/2/2018 11:16 | Nothing like putting putting a bit of fear in the air If you are shorting ha,ha come on lads IQE is not going To be pushed down for ever . See what happens at 85p GLA if you are long. | dickiebird2
03/2/2018 11:08 | The Stig take your point about MO. Any views on substance of allegations in report? OD | obiterdicta
03/2/2018 10:57 | The shorts don't care about facts. Creating FUD is the main goal. Release report on Friday. Allow retail mug punters to worry about the FUD all weekend Ramp up retail mug shorters to press the sell case Cover into the volume/liquidity Monday | the stigologist
03/2/2018 10:05 | The issue here is one of degree - IQE is not a GBO. The key point is how much of the licence sales revenue is revenue appearing as a plus at Group but as a minus at subsidiary - revenue shifting. OD | obiterdicta
03/2/2018 09:40 | They won't they are crowd following sheep. | the stigologist
03/2/2018 09:36 | If the institutions who are long the vast majority of shares, not to mention those who took up the placing at 1.40 are in the least concerned, I am sure they will be in direct contact with the company to ensure a swift and decisive response on Monday. As regards the analysts ratings, since the share price is now so far from all the target prices, they should all be upgrading to strong buy. | bocase
03/2/2018 09:12 | I have no position here long or short so speak as I find. | the stigologist
03/2/2018 09:11 | Also worth pointing out this short report has been doing the rounds since December. The main shorters eg Marshall Wace now want to cover short and exit position that is why they are making report available to the great unwashed retail mug shorters | the stigologist
03/2/2018 09:05 | Indeed and there is a helluva lot to rebuff (too much I would say) too. Any response will be a good read and it should be fairly clear whether it's a bust (pun intended) or not. | wossupsa
03/2/2018 09:02 | Marshall Wace has probably bought a few shares back to give itself room to sell again on Monday after the ShadowFall publication. This has got all the hallmarks of two other notorious share price collapses notably Quindell and Blinkx with two of the scoundrels mentioned here involved. Market’s do not like uncertainty. In my opinion the IQE Board would do well to address ShadowFalls publication immediately. If their broker is of any worth it would have ensured the M.D. was advised of the publication of such a harmful document, especially with the short positions that have been established. Get their F.D. to work over the weekend and be ready to make a statement before the market opens on Monday. | aphrodites
03/2/2018 09:01 | I would doubt that IQE will be another Globo. For starters IQE is run from the UK by what appears to me to be a highly experienced and qualified BoD.Are the Auditors that stupid? Is the CFO a crook? I doubt it very much!I would hope there will be a detailed response from IQE on Monday morning. | richj5000
03/2/2018 08:59 | Usually companies might ignore but they'll have hedge fund longs who'll want it rebutted officially. This isn't competition or market FUD it's fraud allegations | the stigologist
03/2/2018 08:44 | Morning bully, might consider joining the low grade retail mug shorters brigade myself as if Stig says they are a bad thing then the opposite is likely to be true, lol. As for that research document you really wouldn't need a Cambridge degree to get the gist of it ;o). | wossupsa
03/2/2018 08:33 | I would not bank on IQE reading this report or commenting on it. Of course it would be nice if they did. | richardc77
03/2/2018 08:05 | Morning Wossupsa, It's a rugby weekend so I shall not be reviewing said document until Sunday. With that said though and as much as I hate state this, if it is subject to a bear raid next week I shall attempt to participate as I suspect, eventually, value will shine through. However, it is these types of shenanigans which lead a lot of retail investors to be put off longer term investments unless they can roll with the punches so to speak, having wide enough stops / are using proper position sizing so as not to damage their portfolio too much. | bulltradept
03/2/2018 08:03 | One min it's about iPhone X sales going to be highly disappointing and as a massive supplier in the chain IQE is doomed; the next sales are intra group and largely fictitious..hmm | tsmith2
03/2/2018 07:57 | I'll paraphrase"I've seen a report I don't understand and given my conclusion clearly haven't read and I'll waste everyone's time by posting an utterly inane and annoying post" | davehulb
03/2/2018 07:50 | brilliant. you can explain the bear case in your own words here... | tsmith2
03/2/2018 07:49 | wossupsa, I agree and that's why I have shorted a large amount of iqe yesterday( very kind persistent buyer all friday, thanks very much ).We have seen this type of revenue related deception before many times on Aim. The establishment of ghost companies who rake up big losses whilst the parent company receives those losses as big revenue gains. Hats off to Matthew Earle to making us aware. I'd imagine other shorters , like me, will eventually expect iqe to be back in the low teens rather than 80p you quote. With the fall in the US yesterday post our close, iqe should naturally keep falling anyhow. I see no reason why iqe will respond to these allegations on Monday as the share price has barely fallen yet .When it does , they will respond but I don't expect them to say anything yet. Needless, to say, if I were holding Iqe, I'd be dumping my shares asap cos that report was quite damning . | miti 1000
03/2/2018 07:31 | Yes Monday might be pivotal as to where this is going. Sentiment seems to have turned against us for the moment. | amt |
