guildedge: Closed at 69.5p. So up 15p from the low. Does this mean seller is clear now? Someone is definately buying here. All speculation on no news? I have not done the maths on all their investments here. Maybe the view is the assets are worth more than the current share price? See what happens.

guildedge: At some point there has to be a bottom here as all these shares and private holdings must have a value. If funds are waiting to invest perhaps they are waiting for the results or for Woodford to show his cards here. I think he will look for an ouright buyer rather than sell bit by bit. Assuming he sells. I can't believe all these assets were valued double what they are truly worth? As share is almost a 1/3rd of what the broker values them at. Maybe this is more down to IP Groups model here. They have copied Woodford in many respects and his funds value has collapsed. Has anyone tried to compare the fall on his fund to IP Group? His Woodford equity Income fund was down 9% last year and 24% this year to August. This fund holds 3.3% weight of IP group. Also 2.58% weight of Oxford Nanopore. What is more likely is that the broker has simply not changed their value here. We saw this with IQE where some brokers were touting 180p valuations when the share price was way below half this. I just hope IP Group are honest about the true valuations when it comes to the results.

guildedge: Yes I misread that RNS. Ceres is now just above 201p. So they are now up 10-15% on this stock. Albeit this was after June so not likely to be included in H1 results? Share price here keeps testing 68p. UT price was 67.9p. Results are in early September. So 6-7 weeks wait.

guildedge: Interestingly St James's Place (Cleared fully), Invesco and Woodford all reducing on Circassia Pharmaceuticals in last week. No wonder share price is down to 17p. Good recovery by IPO today. I think someone is buying up the sold stock. Still a risk that St james could start selling here too once they evaluate their holdings. You will know the bad holdings when Invesco, St James's Place and Woodford all start to reduce. I suspect the above firm is a one off investment that went bad. In most cases they can't do this as private firms. See what results bring.

guildedge: Not a great day for IPO. Woodford has begun selling off shares here. Plus IPO dumping a large chunk of their shares in Circassia Pharmaceuticals. CP share price down to 18p from 50p in January. It was 100p in 2018. 300p a couple of years before that. They lost 14m on this share in 2018 results. More to follow in H1 2019. IPO need to be making up this money in other investments. Still holding above 70p. H1 results due in next 2-3 weeks? Wonder what they now value Oxford Nanopore at? That had some news a few days ago. Good luck all. Let's hope these results are not too bad.

superg1: This looks like a bubble as I've said before figures based on fair value and the market cap of companies. It looks like a false market because due to the heavy backing from the IP group to small companies it artificially inflates the share price of those heavily backed. If you like a solid fund with large holdings keeping the funding going. If they tried to sell up the fair values would capitulate and many of the rl;evenat companies would collapse. Is that about right. I have raised concerns about the chief investment officer who is sat in the board of one Aim company with the FCA. Clearly that company released false news (also reported) since I reported the company share price has dropped over 40%. So do IPO continue to back them and ignore the lies ??? No comment from the company, IPO, FCA or the nomad to date yet they all know about it. We'll see as the relevant company will need cash soon.

p1nkfish: Still have an eye on UBI. Volume peaked up today as someone sold a couple 100k then price recovered. Pretty sure new management will get the 70p+ share price to get their £'s.

p1nkfish: 90% of ivo portfolio value is unlisted. Ivo half year, end of Jan 2017 - "Net assets increased to £472.4 million (FY 2016: £455.9 million), NAV per share £2.93" Original ipo approach was at 307p, could rise to 320p if ipo share price rises to 148p due to 2.1575 conversion ratio. MOST RECENT price equivalent was £2.89p per ivo share - bit of a bargain imho given the potential. Ipo chanced their arm with 3 major ivo shareholders on side. Makes a lot of sense.

p1nkfish: If IPO'S share price ris3s there is upside in ivo to 320p maximum. Every penny extra on Ipo levers up in ivo price. Worth keeping an eye on it. If positions are sorted, valuation might be too if ipo rises in price.

praipus: Buy FIP who get .446 of a NEW IPO share for each FIP share I've noticed a few days on the trot now the FIP share price lags the IPO share price move when in fact they should be moving in lock step....as usual double check DYOR etc :-) "Under the terms of the Offer, Scheme Shareholders will be entitled to receive 0.446 of a New IP Group Share for every Scheme Share held." http://uk.advfn.com/news/UKREG/2014/article/60763463
