Bought here again with intention of holding for 3-5. Some of the holdings are maturing nicely and if the UK is to prosper on its own two feet we need to encourage and support companies of the type in the ipo portfolio and by inference, ipo.

This just looks plain wrong to me!

The money is supposed to helping new companies get started, not feather-nesting already fat directors and other insiders.

Tempus: I seem to make a habit of mentioning IP Group in this slot. This is one of those companies that takes innovations coming out of academe at a very early stage and develops them until they are viable, protecting their valuable intellectual property. The market has not been kind to IP and other such high-risk investments, but yesterday’s update shows the portfolio making progress, with one exit, from Tracsis, the software company, a 38 times’ return on what IP initially paid for the stake.

This is the Rising Wedge that has formed over recent sessions. Need to wait for an eod close outside the trendlines to confirm direction. Potential up/down targets illustrated by green and pink lines. Note the death cross. Falling volume is common in this pattern. Breakout likely around 58-64% of triangle length, according to Bulkowski, so mid April. No position. Cheers.

IP Group plc - Disposal of holding in Tracsis plc

IP Group plc (LSE: IPO) ("IP Group" or "the Group" or "the Company"), the developer of intellectual property-based businesses, is pleased to announce that it has realised its entire holding in portfolio company Tracsis plc.

The Group received net cash proceeds of GBP13.1m from the sale, bringing total proceeds to date, including dividends, to GBP14.3m. This represents an Internal Rate of Return of approximately 58% and a multiple of approximately 38 times the Group's investment of GBP0.4m.

Topped up 60% today. 78.1% held by institutions. U-tube swarming drones is one of their investments. This will re rate given say 4/5 months.
