16/2/2021 12:04 | rob, thinking big sellers were gone, I mistimed a large buy in January. I eventually doubled up on the way down to 90, but ended up with a very large position, so have been rebalancing over the past few days. Still have basic holding. | bamboo2
16/2/2021 11:33 | Genomics coverage is everywhere as a result of Covid. Investors flush with cash, IPO and SPAC deals daily, Illumina at 5 year high, may never be a better time for an ONT deal. I wouldn't be a seller | robertspc1
16/2/2021 11:09 | Hi p1nkfish, I have been letting go of the trading shares today as I have a possible turn noted on the chart 15-16/2/2021. p/f was nearly 80% ipo, so feeling quite relieved! :-) | bamboo2
16/2/2021 10:57 | Heading higher still imho.
Something changing or news of some sort leaking.
Trend is friendly overall. | p1nkfish
16/2/2021 10:23 | Just hit a 2 year high ! 😊 | masurenguy
16/2/2021 10:18 | I average up by a fair amount recently as see this playing catch-up with good reason.
bb2, what do you think? | p1nkfish
15/2/2021 20:35 | Ont should float on lSE and we should get stock on in specie basis from IP group at ipo - that would be best outcome. | edwardt
15/2/2021 16:50 | Chunky trades at the close. Hopefully a breakout on the cards. | robertspc1
14/2/2021 16:57 | NASDAQ listing more likely imo, they should hurry up to capitalise on current generous valuations. Dividend unlikely as there's a big pipeline of follow on and new investments. That is the purpose of the company after all. | wetpantz
12/2/2021 20:04 | Illumina now worth $75bn. What price ONT? Still think a possible SPAC target | robertspc1
10/2/2021 19:46 | I think they will do a special divi to shareholders and also announce that ONT plans to IPO. Either would put a rocket booster under the shares | robertspc1
10/2/2021 16:09 | Would love to know what they have on the horizon to invest in, the level of cash makes them very useful. | p1nkfish
10/2/2021 15:55 | Reckon this will pop nicely when annual NAV comes out. Discount is way too big as shareholder overhang clears | robertspc1
10/2/2021 13:07 | Softbank investing heavily in PACB, good news for sector. | bjfanc
10/2/2021 10:59 | b/f, IPGroup have reduced their holdings in the US from 80% to 61.3%, whilst increasing the nav.
The recent ACT rns IPGroup diluted from 21.4% to 18.06%
This dilution and consequent reduction of risk is a common theme since management started changing their style approx 18 months ago. | bamboo2
10/2/2021 09:32 | Who is the new 'US blue chip institutional investor"? Find this press release very underwhelming. It would be great to know the names of the the co-investors in IPO's North American platform. It might help reassure UK investors that IPO's management is capable of attracting top class investors as co-investors in its investment ideas. | bottomfisher
10/2/2021 07:48 | IP Group plc - IP Group, Inc. raises additional $50.0m (£36.5m*) of funding
IP Group plc, the developer of intellectual property-based businesses, is delighted to announce that IP Group, Inc., its North American platform, has secured an additional $50.0m (£36.5m*) of funding, including $40.0m from a new US blue-chip institutional investor. IP Group plc committed $10.0m of funding and now has a 61.3% interest in the North American platform. This brings the total funds raised by the team over the past twelve months to $63.5m, including $15.0m from IP Group plc. This additional funding is consistent with the Group's strategy of financing IP Group, Inc. alongside third-party strategic investors. The funds will support the continued growth of the platform's maturing portfolio as well as its pipeline of new opportunities. | masurenguy
08/2/2021 16:26 | hashertu, we will know when we get the update to end of 2020.
It's about a month away based on last year, but could appear anytime in theory. | bamboo2
08/2/2021 15:39 | Bamboo. If you are referring to the 2 x £113m awards, the sums are mind boggling.
Time will undoubtedly tell us if our guess is close to the mark or not. | hashertu
08/2/2021 13:24 | hashertu, I thought the same at first, but the date and detail of the two very large orders is different.
I guess these are likely to be 'call off' orders, so a regular supply of machines and consumables over a certain amount of time, depending on the needs of supply and demand. | bamboo2
08/2/2021 12:46 | Bamboo. Re Bidstats.
Any advice on how to interpret the information there?
Just based on value/timing, it looks like there is some duplication there, or reporting of one event at different stages of the project.
TIA | hashertu | |
08/2/2021 11:00 | Bb2, Evonetix (part of Grow portfolio) is one in UK.
Applications in many aras from paint, cosmetics, agri and research.
There was a Nanalyze article that started my interest and holding Grow.
Hauser, an ARM founder (BBC micro etc), reckoned Evonetix would be massive in time. The whole area will be. | p1nkfish
08/2/2021 10:44 | Thanks you don't see the header on a phone. I'll dust off the desktop. | tonsil
08/2/2021 10:27 | p1nk, re 857, do you have any good resources for looking into synthetic biology?
What are the potential applications? Are there any companies already in the field?
My guess with ONT is that if this is something that they are going to explore, they will likely do it in partnership, in the same way as they are with liquid biopsy and Cyclomics , and Covid testing with Sourcebio. | bamboo2
05/2/2021 15:13 | Tonsil, there might be something in the header! | bamboo2
