24/6/2011 09:26 | But @badtime, would you buy or sell? ;) Never seen a shambles like it. I called co, got some clueless lady who says someone will ring me back. "When?". "Sometime today". If they got the court approval, they're ex. If they didn't, they're not. Market seems to be taking a 50:50 approach! | spectoacc

24/6/2011 08:59 | Yes, totally ridiculous. Back up to 30p a moment ago & now back to 21p. Correct - they should be suspended whilst this is sorted. Still unable to get any sense from the company... | skyship

24/6/2011 08:42 | It should have been x today, but I cannot see confirmation that the High Court has sanctioned the Capital Reduction. The shares should be suspended pending clarification. Ridiculous. | tiltonboy
24/6/2011 08:39 | TALK ABOUT FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!! Sp bounced off 20p choice - now recovering @ 24p... Is there anyone else watching this? | skyship
24/6/2011 08:24 | LSE shows no special conditions on the share price - ie, no XCap..... Even if the Court process failed this fall is absurd! | skyship
24/6/2011 08:20 | CONFUSION REIGNS!!! Looks as though the share price should or might be XD the special 18p dividend. What's going on.... | skyship
23/6/2011 20:29 | Thanks skyship but still no mention of taxation. I understand this is a capital return and not a dividend but I asked this same question on the CGT thread because NSN are also returning capital. The feedback I got was the cash distribution is treated as income but you will likely realise a large capital loss when you sell which may compensate. As I said there this doesn't make much sense (especially if you are a higer rate tax payer) and Im a bit sceptical. But then again how can you work out a capital gain (or loss) in this case. Can anyone explain? BTW. Got email from TDWaterhouse. Apparently the cash distribution is a done deal and accounts to be credited shortly. | hugepants
23/6/2011 08:34 | HP: 1. Click on the website link in the Header 2. Click to View all Documents - bottom lefthand corner 3. Click to 21st April 2011 - Notice of AGM 2011 This is a return of Capital - not a dividend. | skyship
22/6/2011 19:08 | Apparently the circular is on the website but I cant see it. The circular is likely to have info on taxation. Can anyone find it on the website? | hugepants
21/6/2011 16:39 | Anyone know the tax treatment here. Is the cash return treated as income and you effectively have an associated capital loss if you sell after the distribution? | hugepants
