11/1/2008 13:55 | Managed 500 at 160p with one of Halifax MMs. Could not get even 1k. Hardly worth it; but it's the principle! | edmundshaw
11/1/2008 13:53 | banged in a fill or kill for a small amount, if it's good enough for them at nearly 193 it's good enough for me at less than 160, we'll see if I get them. | nomolos
11/1/2008 13:50 | People forget that these are professional investors (not traders) who have invested A$12m in IVK. They probably have a five-year view. Who could guess the value of IVK projects in five years time! BNC, BZC or LP could easily be multi-bagger each. The are not worried about 45p premium to the market's today's price. I expect IVK to trade between A$5.50 to A$6.85 in three months time. | nghomi
11/1/2008 13:38 | Selftrade offering only 375 shares to buy at 158p = £592.50, but bid price hasn't moved. Maybe they are confused by the fund raising and don't want any trading at the moment. | stemis
11/1/2008 13:33 | Odd. Thought the placing would of been canned until more suitable times. Just tried adding a few and couldn't get a price at mkt | nomolos
11/1/2008 13:32 | Agreed, but they probably dont care-reckon they must know a lot more about belitung than we do :-) Its got to be good news though-someone is very confident-makes me feel a lot more secure about my holding now | strow
11/1/2008 13:21 | Investika Ltd 11 January 2008 INVESTIKA LTD ('the Company') Issue of Equity Further to the announcement on 18th December 2007, the Company has today issued and allotted a total of 2,900,000 ordinary shares ('Placing Shares') following the placing with institutional investors at a price of AUD $4.30 per share. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares. Application will be made for the Placing Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence on 16 January 2008. A further announcement will be made in due course once the remaining 100,000 ordinary shares which are part of the placing are issued and allotted. -------------------- So 18% increase in the share capital at 196p and the share price is 148.5p. That's a 32% premium. I don't get it. Why aren't they now just buying in the market until the price is up to 196p? | stemis

09/1/2008 15:39 | 200k was bought at 149.5p! | nghomi
09/1/2008 08:48 | Offer is A$4.1 in ASX according to ADVFN. It would be £1.83p per share in real money (£1 = A$2.23). Is there any end to £ misery? | nghomi
08/1/2008 16:48 | nomolos, good article. I like this paragraph: "Demand for industrial metals will continue to outstrip supply. In 2005, the exploration budget of the mining sector as a whole represented less than 5pc of total profits. Meanwhile, China uses around a third as much copper per head of population as the developed world, and is catching up fast." I am sure CK knows what he is doing :-) | nghomi
08/1/2008 11:24 | couldn't agree more.... | nomolos
08/1/2008 10:38 | strow, CK won't have more than 28.5% if the share price is not less than A$6.875 per share (or £3 per share). So it would be up to the major (or professional) shareholders if they want him to take big chunck of IVK or not. Perhaps CK is sick of the market and he values his company at £3 per share. If the market is putting half of that to his company, he would take more of the company at a discount. Do you see what I am trying to say? | nghomi
07/1/2008 08:19 | Ng-i dont want ck to become to heavy in ownership here-that would be unhealthy in my view and could in the future lead to him taking it private(if he could afford to do so) Clearly as you say,the trades we see on advfn do not include any on asx and i would not be too suprised if the 320k you say were traded at that time as i think many people have been reducing for several months in oz,as is bourne out by the price drop seen-dont know about the funding one,but i have a feeling they need the whole lot for various reasons | strow
05/1/2008 22:11 | Just read DMR report on convertable notes. The good news is that CK is happy to finance the entire $10m if it is required. He certainly would like to subscribe to 32% at least. So it seems that BFS funding requirement is sorted. The BFS is expected to be completed by August 2008. The bad news is that I am totally confused with a few issues. Can anybody help? First of all, do we still need this convertable notes if the 3m placing at $4.30 per share goes through. DMR report seems to imply that $10m is sufficient for the bfs. 3m at 4.3 would be more ~$13m which should be sufficient for BFS. Secondly, according to the report, 130% of the total shares are traded on ASX and AIM between Nov 06 and Nov 07. 14m shares are traded on AIM alone during 12 months period. Does it mean that ADVFN does not show the majority of transactions? Cannot beleive that 320k shares were traded in the first half of Nov 07 for example. It would be more than 30k of volume per day. We never see these sort of volume on ADVFN do we? | nghomi
05/1/2008 19:19 | Thanks. I didn't read the appendices. Load of interesting info at the bottom of doc. I found it amusing by holding 25k shares, one would make top 20 shareholders! Don't understand why "HSBC Custody Nominees Austraila Ltd" has made it twice in top 20 shareholders though! | nghomi
05/1/2008 18:29 | Its at the bottom of the notice that you posted i think | strow
05/1/2008 17:55 | strow, I agree. Next week will be very interesting indeed. Where did you get the list of 20 largest holders? I am not sure having me as the one of two only vocal investors a good news or not! But I like the fact that we do not have much hype here. It gives me the assurance that the stock is not manipulated. | nghomi
05/1/2008 17:35 | You may be right there-also i note that the 20 largest holders seem to have changed again-they are in combination holding 94% of the shares though ,so still very small free float-RAB do not appear to be amoungst them,so maybe i have missed their exit-i hope so as at this stage as with several other cos of recent months they have been nothing but a liability with selling down their holdings-next week or so will be very interesting here-seems just you and me here at the moment ng-shame we dont have more commentary-this is a very interesting company to follow and yet there seem to be so few vocal followers | strow
05/1/2008 14:46 | As strow says the notice of general meeting was dated 6/12/07. So I think it is a matter of formality and the placing has already happened at $4.30 on 18/12/07. Note that TNQ recieved a loan of £1.3m on 19/12/07 from IVK. Where else IVK could potentialy provide this loan to TNQ? Also, note that even the shares issued for TNQ and BNZ needs to be ratified by the shareholders too. My best guess is that some of the shareholders who have sold BNZ and TQN to IVK have taken additional stake in IVK at $4.30. Note that TNQ and BNZ were taken over at $4.40 per share and TNQ share price has not moved since then while IVK's share have gone down by some 20%. I have already talked to James Joyce of WH Ireland and he has confirmed that the agreement is signed and provided the shareholders do not disagree, it is a done deal. | nghomi
05/1/2008 09:32 | Hang on-the date of this notice was 6/12/2007 and the aim announcement on 18/12/2007 says 3 million shares at $4.30 ???????!-which is it ?? still cant believe the $4.30-think it might be a typing error and should read $3.30,which would make more sense given current prices in oz and aim-this would be as stated in the notice, not less than 80% of the current oz price-any thoughts anyone? | strow
05/1/2008 09:30 | Thanks ng-Ground rules have changed then re placing-same as last one that didnt happen-3 months and at any price not less than 20% of average s/p-as per previous one that didnt happen-cant say i am now too pleased either, but thats life-why they couldnt have said this in the first place,i just dont know-thats what we would have expected anyway-insiders always do better than pis | strow
04/1/2008 21:02 | Notice of a General Meeting of Shareholders - 10 January, 2008 | nghomi
04/1/2008 11:45 | ASX price is 10% higher than AIM price at the moment. | nghomi
03/1/2008 13:29 | Yes youre right, although i didnt take that too seriously at the time-i think we may be seeing rab selling down here just like they have done virtually everywhere else since northern rock-good riddance i say-talking gold and o/t but kys beginning to move after rab have sold now-upwards im pleased to say | strow |
