27/5/2020 04:33 | A good investor knows when to take profits, when to sit on the sidelines and when to re-invest.
In hindsight, it looks like:
Take profits last year.
Sit in sidelines until recently.
And, IMO, re-invest lightly and tactically from April, and more general since yesterday.
All just my view. And there are good and bad companies out there, but do your research and you'll reep the fruits of you investments. | hamhamham1
21/5/2020 16:01 | Boystown- quite agree. I believe that INVP offers great value, though expect to wait a long while to benefit from it. Volatility caused by short-term trading is doing little to entice long-term investors and I expect that poor sentiment will cause the share price to drift until markets stabilise somewhat.
INVP won't always be unloved but whilst it is, there are bargains to be had. | investor0109
21/5/2020 08:39 | It looks to be excellent value to me, unless I'm missing something. | boystown
20/5/2020 15:33 | Took a small amount here today, as ZAR looking a little happier. | bamboo2
14/5/2020 16:20 | hamhamham1- trust in The Fonz and it ought to come good in INVP. Mind, I expect the price to slide beyond results next week, as there can't be too much to shout about for now. That said, I'd not want to miss the moment this stock picks up again! | investor0109
08/5/2020 06:16 | I bought in 2 days ago.
Happy to at this level.
Time will tell.
I am going to do as Fonzi said and "Sit on it!" | hamhamham1
21/4/2020 08:46 | Today, Bank of America rates INVP as BUY with price target of 190p. I consider this confirmation that the current share price offers great long-term value. | investor0109
19/4/2020 14:16 | Yes theyve almost halved in the last 6 months also chemical/pharma companies might do well out of all this panic...even imm lol | nemesis6
19/4/2020 11:22 | nemesis6- good value investments to be had in your watchlist, I believe, though would give HMSO a wide birth and consider RR debt. There might be something in JMAT if you’re looking at 3 years+. Thoughts? | investor0109
19/4/2020 09:04 | Yes Investor see what you mean....they are definitely a long term hold.
Also on my radar are BP. lloy maybe barc RR. IAG BT.a was looking at HMSO but not sure now. | nemesis6
18/4/2020 16:37 | nemesis6- agreed that this appears to offer great value for money at this point in time. I can't see too many downsides, though as bamboo2 suggests, INVP is sensitive to movements in value of ZAR which doesn't look to be improving any time soon.
INVP are due to issue full year results on 21st May and I don't expect them to be all that positive, nor well-received. The share price might well fall below 100p, but at that price INVP is certainly worth buying to hold for the next 3 years. Long-term investments here could well return 2-3 times, in my opinion. | investor0109
17/4/2020 21:58 | Quite strong correlation between INVP and ZARUSD.
Add in divi uncertainty to get the current sp? | bamboo2
16/4/2020 15:53 | Ive just taken more....I cant for the life of me see a negative here other than the sector related stuff. Over 16% yield strong cash position and well managed. Can anyone tell me a downside? Out of every share im looking at rmg...lloy...cna...rr. isee these as buys but not as much as this if im honest. | nemesis6
16/4/2020 15:33 | Well, for the nothing that it is worth I've just taken a sliver here at almost 145p on a "stick it in the drawer for a while and see what happens" basis. If the world does indeed go to hell in a handcart it will look stupidly expensive. If, however, it doesn't and some semblance of normality resumes it should look decent value. Time will tell... | cwa1
16/4/2020 15:21 | Nursing a 15% loss having invested just two days prior, I feel I ought to have just slammed a lump of cash on a horse!
...it'll likely be years before this stock recovers, but by the time is does there will have been plenty of money made. | investor0109
15/4/2020 22:16 | It's valued at <40% of NTAV and is stuffed with cash, highly profitable and under a return to normal conditions, the yield will be around 16% (???).
Yes, most banks have been bashed, but surely INVP offers the most extreme deep value available??? | boystown
15/4/2020 22:05 | I agree but banks / financials are getting shafted at the moment, liquid stocks and getting sold off easily. Invp seems a well run business. Just hope there is plenty of upside when the tide eventually turns. | its the oxman
15/4/2020 09:14 | Feeling a little sore today, having bought in at a touch under 168p only yesterday.
There surely is value in this stock at current prices. I believe INVP made a good call in going ahead with the demerger of its asset management firm and that the price has been driven lower than it ought to have been by sentiment. | investor0109
07/2/2020 13:19 | hxxps://www.compoundincome.org/
Maybe of interest to some | nerja
17/1/2020 10:01 | Only a modest holding left here after years of disappointing performance - not unlike many other financial stocks in that respect. Hoping the demerger will realise some value and below 440p seems well worth a punt. Fingers crossed. | its the oxman
08/12/2019 23:23 | Anyone see an6 value in this down at 430p | its the oxman
13/9/2019 14:41 | Nicely done, could've got more but very happy with the turn I made. | cwa1
13/9/2019 12:24 | Sold 493p. Still hold a chunk as could easily be 600p. Will buy more if it sinks again. | its the oxman
11/9/2019 09:34 | FWIW, I've just drifted back out again at 472'ish for a very solid profit, happy with that. Eyes peeled for the next drop... | cwa1
