13/11/2010 15:29 | Good find jak1. Lots of it in the Telegraph online. At least another 3 articles including this one, all saying something similar. ULf has been notoriously conservative in the past, so I find this 'big us up' approach interesting: | mbaxter
13/11/2010 08:54 | Woo hoo were off, looks like I will more then get my 35p Monday... Invensys boss calls for Chinese buyer as bid talk mounts Invensys has intensified bid speculation by suggesting the Chinese are likely bidders for the £2.6bn FTSE 100 electronic engineering group. By Malcolm Moore and Helia Ebrahimi 11:06PM GMT 12 Nov 2010 Comments Speaking exclusively to The Daily Telegraph, Invensys chief executive Ulf Henriksson said China Southern Rail (CSR) had the "possibility of acquiring Invensys" if the price was right. Invensys In a highly unusual move, Mr Henriksson said his preference would be CSR taking a minority stake. Invensys, whose products help control the smooth running of railways, nuclear power stations and washing machines, is currently understood to be the centre of bid interest from Alstom, GE and Honeywell. Although none of three has made a formal approach for the company, chaired by Sir Nigel Rudd, sources suggest they have expressed interest in a potential formal process. "Selling a stake to the Chinese will help push the share price up above £4," said a source close to the company. "Such a stake sale would help force lurking would-be buyers to think about a bid price closer to £6." | jak1
