IIG investors will be comforted by the fact that they've only paid a year to September 2023 revenue multiple of x3000 for Hui10. What a snip.

Tech valuations eh? If the Chinese investment was truly worth $365m it’s odd that the vendors wanted to sell for shares worth a third of that in a UK minnow with just over one million pounds in the bank at the last accounts.
From the IIG website:

Welcome to Intuitive Investments Group plc.
Who are Intuitive Investments Group plc?

IIG seeks to provide investors with exposure to a portfolio of investments concentrating on fast growing and/or high potential life sciences businesses operating predominantly in the UK, continental Europe and the US.

Rewrite to
Welcome to Russian Roulette Group plc.

RRG seeks to provide investors with exposure to betting the house on a Chinese tech company.

GAD64 I ask you this what is the current NAV of IIG ? Is it higher or lower than the current share price ? If so by how much ? We can guess but it makes it hard to know if the current share price represents good value for a normal investor. On a cash basis so ignoring the capitalisation of listing costs and other certain other annualised running costs I calculate the current NAV to be below 19p per share. I am not happy to pay 22p for that “easy” diversification and pay away 20pct of the upside for something you could do yourself. However if you move in to areas where I can not just chuck an order in to the market and replicate what they are doing then I am happy to pay.

40 Fathoms - thank you for your feedback - it was made clear to investors at the IPO that there would be conflicts of interest as they were being asked to back ( in part) my 27 years of experience in the industry - shareholders and potential shareholders need to know that through transparency there is no gaming of the system for personal advantage. I believe that we have both the right calibre of individuals and the systems in place to minimise such gaming.
Your point re discounts to NAV is well made and in our consciousness all the time.
Regarding performance bonus I think we have set a reasonably high bar but others may have a different opinion and we went round the houses in order to satisfy incoming investors.
Regarding listed shares that you could easily buy that i think is a moot point given whether you are readily able to access the plethora of placings.
Finally i thank you again for your insights and happy to make myself available for any further questions you may have.

Also noted the investment and a decent paper return already. A massive raise for what is a real minnow and I note both existing and new investors took part.Interesting to see that Unicorn, Octopus, Herald and Fidelity are already holders, so IIG in seemingly good company.I wonder what the plans are for MSYS? Acquiring another business perhaps!Could prove to be a rather profitable investment for IIG given the entry point.

Great article hastings, many thanks. It seems to have generated some interest :o))

An amazing amount of opportunities already identified:

"However, with a substantial pipeline of opportunities of up to 60 that have been identified, further news flow looks likely both in the near and medium term. “We have the money” says the CEO “so we don’t want to just sit on it, rather deploy and invest to generate returns for our investors”."

For me it's the quality of the management team, yes there's a great deal of onus on Mr Evans to deliver but he has a strong team around him. Also this sector is on fire at the moment and promises to be so for some time. Having no seed investors was crucial to me for taking part in the IPO. This is just starting to hit a few radars, near term news flow should see it hit a few more.

Sunday Times

Troubled insurer Independent Insurance Group plans to raise £150m from a share sale that will accompany the removal of at least two directors. The company, whose shares have crashed 70% in the past year, plans to raise the money by placing discounted shares with institutional investors.

The paper said two long-serving non-executives, Sir Iain Noble and Daniel Hodson, will step down to be replaced by three non-executives. One fund manager said investors were also calling for finance director Dennis Lomas to step down.
