After a year's worth of problems, at last some good news.
Reading between the lines of yesterday's announcement, it looks like nearly $20m to be cashed in. That is approx 1/3 of the fund in cash.
Wonder if this will be returned to shareholders.
If so, rest of portfolio is rated at 50% discount.
Looks cheap IMHO .... DYOR of course.

Praipus, I got as far as June 2009 -June 2010 expenses up 65% and net investment income down 35% and nearly stopped reading. NAV up 49% over the same period whilst the share price is lower, looks like an anomaly. But the markets other than Weiss don't appear interested. It looks like a contrarian play, I prefer value plays with catalysts. If they do manage a sale of an asset above expectations then they would become a buy. But until then it will remain for me a watchlist stock. I hope your investment proves to be a profitable one.

A chance that the market has got it wrong and that the manager will realise the assets for a lot more than is expected.

Praipus, Weiss being involved grabbed my attention. But two of the investee companies are more or less in the hands of the receivers. What do you see that could give this fund an uplift in the next 12 months?
