Down 1.4% at the close is a result after all the bad press over a long weekend. A single figure drop is even better than I expected at the start of play

and they have the summer holidays on the horizon.

They do not dare risk a recurrence this will be reviewed and a belt and braces job applied to the software side of the business. Budgets requested will be met to prevent this ever happening again imo, bwdik

Reading yesterdays and todays postings I get the feeling that there are some disappointed persons that the share price has not slipped way below 600p. Madrid gave us a big clue yesterday as what the most likely outcome in London would be down around 2.77%. Let us see how we finish!

Oh dear...surely we are not trying to suggest the Americans will try and put their foot on the neck of BA as they did with BP?
What we need is IT engineers to resolve the problem not a bunch of greedy American lawyers who have no interest in resolving issues but only want to pick up an easy buck. What a society.

Potential risk here (IMO) is that as trans Atlantic flights involved and Americans very litigious also many US legal firms prepared to take on cases on a contingency basis there could be a class action brought in the US courts for contingent/consequential damages if failure of IT systems considered within the control of BA / IAG or due to negligence on their part.

Nothing up yet on Google but..................

Anyone closer to the legal profession able to comment further ? or could BA be protected in the small print of their terms and conditions.

Southern Electric have confirmed no power surge so someone is telling Porkies maybe someone should enquire who IAG IT director is and ask questions and look at his past failures like the BA cabin crew dispute of 2010

Where did the supposed power surge take place ?

Why did it not affect anything else ?

What happens if it happens later on this week ?
