ANTI-LOCKDOWN PROTESTS HIT LONDON
We are only in March! Weather is improving all the time also.
The public will quite rightly not tolerate these restrictions for much longer.
UK 96 deaths
Israel just 9
USA 752

The vaccines work.

Cash....there will eventually be loads of variants but in time they will become less of a problem apparently .

Problem with the US is a hybrid variant formed between the Kent and another variant which they have gone quiet on and swept under the carpet.

Spain was 65m visitors down last year. America sees about 4-5 million visits from the UK annually I think. Turkey get's a few million of our riff raff. If they don't let us in, they sink... but take us with them. What to do. I'll be up bright and early looking to see whether to go short, if only to further hedge my long position.

I'd exercise some caution, I was watching one of the European tv channels and an EU chap effectively stated that the UK will re-commence international flights from 17 May and for Europe the summer starts at the beginning of June. How this will be achieved, I have no idea.

IAG heading back to 1.50. So much uncertainty now. With Europe effectively closed.

They will use the AZN vaccine, they have no other option and it is now indefensible NOT to use it.
It could well result in substantial law suits I suspect, if not class action, from it's non use and negative press..

Yeah I know. I saw it on Sky. I think that's the end of the AZN vaccine for Europe regardless of what the EMA said. I got hammered by this today, I had to open a short to hedge my long but I only got round to it at around 4.15pm. I hope Monday will be better.

I was referring to the French. In any event, it has been political in recent days across EU governments most likely to distract from the drastic failures of their vaccine roll outs. It certainly wasn't medically-based, which is a shame.

I don't think it's political, the Biontech vaccine was created by German nationals. I think it's economic.

Exactly. They have based it on political posturing...what else? They have been flip-flopping since January, so why change now...

and they have based this decision on what exactly ?????
They'll soon change their minds when vaccine passports come in and they can't travel anywhere !

Maybe French lorry drivers should not be allowed access to the UK unless vaccinated ?

The French are all over the place. Despite EMA guidance, they have decided to give AZ vaccines only to over 55s until further review. Does not affect roll out as they are not ready for the under 55s anyway. Indeed a PR blunder which does not inspire any confidence.

I think this could be the end of Merkel and Macron,.
Appallingly bad decision making regarding vaccine rollout and subsequent PR Blunders.
How many have died while they have been prevaricating ?

A twin engined airplane just flew past, and another plane is in the sky outside. Pretty sure I read that IAG is flying at 20% recently. Bond issue a success, well spotted Mikey. Just waiting on Merkel to have her shot in the rump now.
