You also now have the situation where the FTSE and DJ are effectively feeding of each others falls, as with other major indices.

MY MISTAKE - THIS ARTICLE SAYS 60 US CASES SO FAR

Although 42 of those are from the criuse ship

M1k3y1 I have lost a fortune last few days so not in my interest to counter you but "no justification for IAGs drop".Of course there is - they fly planes and the demand is falling and the trend is getting worse. I am fully in this - cannot make myself sell although do have a feeling that many won't want to be in over weekend.I am expecting Trump or the central banks to reassure at some point though

why would you sell, this is only down 2 quid already

wait until 3 quid at least, would be my advice :)

The sell off is entirely based on mass hysteria and it is fuelled by the constant media reporting with mm's and shorters adding to the mayhem.

There is no justification at all for the panic on the stock markets and certainly none with regard to IAG.

Anyone trying to encourage Investors to sell their shares in this market, should be ashamed of themselves.

Lots of paranoia on here. Travel internationally 4+ times a month. No zombies/apocalypse noted. A lot of shares now looking oversold.

NHS, how many children have been globally hospitalised as a result of NCov? If you do your research you will find next to none. Like the Spanish flu mainly affected well middle aged people, this is primarily affecting those over 60, many with pre existing conditions. They are the facts so please stop spouting nonsense. The shooters will have their fun for the next few weeks, the long term fundamentals and dynamic nature of their operation put IAG in a great place to recover well from this.

I agree with all the posts about the world in not going to end and this virus will get dealt with in time, however this board is about IAG and in the short term their business is going to get hit hard.

I'm surprised the price has held up so well. When you consider small profit warnings can hit a company by 15-20%, what's happening here could really impact profits this year. No one knows how long this will go on for, so it would be sensible to move out of stocks directly hit, into others that are not going to be so adversely affected, but have also seen big share price falls. IMO of course.
