a rise comparable to RR would be nice but not so sure - IAG have a lot more debt - but still great to see the recent rise ??

First post here. Have held for four years but bought on Spain's ibex 35 . I presume that this well overdue fantastic good run is because of the prospect of a dividend this year . And post covid recovery . Could have a long way to go still . GLA

Hutch...
I do believe you are correct and it's been a long time coming, so let's hope it leads us all somewhere nice!

Chartists .
Dyou have a reasonable guess as to where resistance MAY kick in, or have we a clear path on up to 200??

Ta in advance

I think a market correction, similar to RR, is happening here. Flight back from South Africa yesterday was full. Looking forward to May 10th

Thanks 1spitfire. I have not followed that many posts just the occasional glance but more so recently for obvious reasons. I do think that JPM helped yesterday and that they have sensed the sea change in IAG who I seriously believe have smartened-up their act over the last year, and appear to be committed in regaining customer satisfaction.

Prospering. As Ive said before it's not rocket science with this stock. A company making record profits for 5 years on the trot. Covid crippled it not poor management. Cant emphasise that enough. Its absolutely key. The smart money is on this as a result as imo is a nil brainer over the coming months years. This year being the main recovery. GLA

whatsup32 I know that you were provoked by 1spitfire but your language is out of order but I have appreciated your posts in the past and hopefully you will engage us again some time ahead. Likewise 1spitfire your posts are welcome but I think that your recent comments on whatsup32 were OTT as his post 30330 was quite positive and did not detract many of us here that sense positive days/months for IAG going forward. I cursed myself as I nearly added at 171p in the last minutes yesterday but did get a few at 169.5p a little earlier. I will certainly add on any slippage at 170p. However I doubt that I will be so lucky. Happy Easter everyone and hopefully whatsup will be back again on the IAG board as he is very much appreciated on the AVIVA board.

As I suspected . Zero class and totally unaware of his own hypocrisy lol. Bye bye and just wish you'd leave this forum as now really good with excellent contributors who see the value here. Suggest we all block him imo as hates being called out and judgement woeful. However he has no interest here but loves to post lol lol lol . Blocked

I'd bought in here in 3 big tranches.

Highest was £2.09...

B/E 154, second tranche 171.

So, I'm a happy chappy now, onwards to £2 will be grand for me.

Like I said it was a genuine question. Shame you always have to make a little dig which is in itself quite juevenile. Your posts are largely negative or just aviation info rather than a share price influencer. This is now 170 as a few of us knew was well poss. The talk of 140 and below was just very naive and hope it didn't influence anyone as personally want to see as many as possible gain from this stock. GLA

I held IAG before so my interest is from then , I'm also all in at Av so not interested in buying other stocks for now .
That doesn't and shouldn't preclude me or anyone else on posting here or anywhere else if it provides alternative views.

Most people are adult enough to decide if they value that alternative comment or not.

Glad it's where it is, for those that had the cahoonas to hold well done - great call.
Selfishly I wanted it lower, but was never anti IAG, I just don't see a plan.
Whatsup, the one that got away? Not so much for me, I have traded MNG quite well, and have taken post results profit from PHNX to help scratch that trading itch.
All, if this drops to 160 I'll have a small dabble, if it broaches 180 this is a price to go and stay long!

Positive share price move today helped in part by JP Morgan Cazenove comment shown on this mornings ADVFN Briefing that JPM have placed IAG on "positive catalyst watch ahead of 1Q '24 results". I think the 1Q results were out in early May last year.
