12/2/2010 14:39 | sounds like a good idea GsyTrader.....what did you have in mind | philwill
12/2/2010 14:29 | Good that there was some exposure today of ICX on BBC2 of this nasty racket taking place on AIM, which the FSA seems to ignore despite the impact on many folks of various backgrounds. Like many other folks I lost a packet on this one - £65k, which hurts more that a little bit!! Both the LSE and III sites have now deleted ICX from its listings I believe, and with that the ability to communicate with other shareholders of ICX. Do the PI community think it worthwhile in some way to form a community of ICX shareholders on some blog or twitter or something so that we can all remain in contact, with a view to persuing any remedy that we may have against the company or its directors in future? Any thoughts appreciated. GT | gsytrader
12/2/2010 14:07 | anyone heard anything from FSA on this? | philwill
12/2/2010 14:06 | Yes they named the company and had also contacted the new company, who intimated all was not lost and that if any funds were left they may be distributed, but the share expert was not hopeful. | buff 1314
08/2/2010 17:06 | Hyper That shortcut, directs you to - panorama@bbc.co.uk I've changed some of the wording to suit & my e-mail is winging it's way to the Panorama programme. Lets hope all of the people that had invested in the Intercytex shares, send an e-mail in for Friday's Working Lunch programme ! I've also sent an e-mail to : editor@thisismoney.c | bengee
08/2/2010 15:53 | Mine was as follows: I would appreciate you looking into Intercytex as I have lost nearly £60k held in my Sipp and investment portfolio. A number of rns led to a number of parties being interested and then talks called off as they could not find buyers. I as a private investor I can scream as much as I like but cannot find out exactly what has happened and the Directors in my opinion have failed to protect shareholders interests. | joeblogg2
08/2/2010 15:46 | Dear Sirs / Madam Firstly, thanks for the invitation to air my shares questions on your programme. In July 09, I bought 500,000 shares (£32,000 ) in a biotech company called Intercytex, only for it's shares to be suspended from the AIM in September 09 when a take over by a large pharmaceutical company failed to take place. I was then informed that the shares would be delisted from the stockmarket and trading would cease in the shares on the 8th.January 2010 When I contacted the chief financial director ( Mr Max Herrmann ) of the company and asked what were the plans for the ICX management to compensate the private investors, the answer I received was that if there was anything left in the kitty after the company was sold, we would get some money back. However this does not seem to be the case, as they have now formed a private company called Regenerative Medicine Assets Ltd with the proceeds of the sale and we the private investors have ended up with ZILCH ! I feel we have been " stung " good and proper here by the management of Intercytex. What are your views on the situation ? Any input from you would be most welcome, being a pensioner, I feel £32,000 is just too much to " kiss goodbye " to. I am sure the managers of that company never had a financial loss when all was sold. The management of the company must surely be held responsible for the mis-management of the company. Many thanks to your programme if you put this on air, as I am sure there will be many people viewing your Working Lunch programme that are in the same boat as myself. Kindest Regards Neil Cormack Well that's my e-mail posted, what did the rest of you say ?????? | bengee
