Special Dividend - Pounds Sterling Amounts Payable

On 19 October 2018, the Board of IHG announced its intention to return US$500 million to Shareholders via a Special Dividend, representing US$2.621 per Existing Ordinary Share. The Special Dividend will be paid on 29 January 2019 to Shareholders on the Register at 6.00pm (London time) on 11 January 2019 in Pounds Sterling and to ADR holders on the ADR register at 4.00pm (New York time) on 11 January 2019 in US dollars.

The Pounds Sterling amounts payable in respect of the Special Dividend has been determined with reference to the average of the market exchange rates on the three days commencing 14 January 2019, using the WM/Reuters closing midpoint spot rate as at 4:00pm (London time), resulting in an applicable exchange rate of GBP1:US$1.2860.

Accordingly, the Pounds Sterling amount payable to Shareholders in relation to the Special Dividend will be 203.8 pence per Existing Ordinary Share.
