23/2/2007 20:12 | So share price drop has a meaning. From my experience, I've seen share price usually drop before take-over bid. | watwungyi
23/2/2007 13:45 | Another fall in these today, but soon to be the object of a takeover? I just watched working lunch and they discussed Intercontinental. "A potential takeover target then?" said the interviewer. "Definitely" came the response. Remember where you heard it first. No, not on ADVFN, on Working Lunch! :) | davius
19/2/2007 16:03 | There has been an online petition set up to challenge the unfair withholding of VAT repayments by HMRC. Please sign it and forward to as many people as possible. | daniel333
22/1/2007 08:21 | Barclay Bros take a stake - is it a blocker or pre- curser. Market likes it - whichever. | broadwood
12/1/2007 16:44 | Those bid rumours are back - as forecast. Week end press may give us a steer. | broadwood
28/12/2006 16:06 | Eventually they will have no hotels, just management contracts. What will happen to the share price if the top managers leave to start up their own managing company and undercut on price. | whatwoman
28/12/2006 12:38 | a bit dangerous here IMO asset stripped to the bone whats left a few hotels? | i maximus
28/12/2006 12:22 | Got out this morning, I did say short term. Now watch the bid arrive. Still not bad for less than 24 hours. | whatwoman
27/12/2006 21:36 | Took a large position after the pullback. In for the ride short term. If wrong then will just hold on. | whatwoman
27/12/2006 14:56 | pulled back a lot in day - can see no sign of bad news announcement ? Maybe opportunity to top up !! | arja
27/12/2006 12:32 | Not too hard I suggest. There are many potential suitors - and they won't all disappear into thin air. Whether or not a bid comes in short time or not, recent M& A in the sector will ensure there'll continue to be fun and games. | broadwood
27/12/2006 12:26 | And if no take over...the price will fall back very hard... | diku
27/12/2006 11:35 | Even stronger - £15 a share is mentioned. | broadwood
22/12/2006 14:45 | Takeover rumours very strong today. | broadwood

30/7/2006 17:00 | apparently the story is that IHG fell in sympathy on the news that an American Hotel group reported that second half of the year was likely to see a reduction in target profits - Hotel giant InterContinental was sharply lower, down 41.5p - or 4.6 per cent - to 858.5p. It fell in sympathy with US peer Starwood after a strong second quarter was overshadowed by a poor outlook that warned of a soft second half. (source digital look) if u ask me, this seems a strange reason for a 4.5% drop, particularly as it looks like IHG are doing a big share buyback... worth watching early next week for recovery. any old boys who have been following IHG for a while care to comment? cheers in advance J | jezboy1
30/7/2006 13:56 | chart doesnt look very nice | taxi driver
28/7/2006 11:20 | strange though, still no RNS and the basic fundamentals of the company look fine - even broker notes are positive.... so something is going on. If this falls through 850 think I might get in J | jezboy1
28/7/2006 11:16 | apparently starwood struggling in america. dont suppose the war helps | taxi driver |
