15/5/2007 22:23 | Heading for support at 70p. 'Seems' tempting at this level now. | maniac3
09/5/2007 13:09 | "the remaining 70% coming from word of mouth".. hmmm are you sure about that figure? That's approximately 3.5million people using their service after being told about it. A major household name maybe could pull off that figure but I wouldn't put them in that category would you? | netpreference
07/5/2007 21:58 | Wouldn't like to be seen opening it myself, nurdin - I have to be satisfied with the front page. | diogenesj
06/5/2007 13:52 | You mean the same upright middle class men who take a sneaky look at the centre spreads (no pun intended) of Sport newspaper while pretending to buy the Times? :o) | nurdin
06/5/2007 13:31 | Nurdin, ITW is suffering from people comparing it to Invox; a sort of slightly seedy business that upright middle class investors think is unsustainable. I don't beleive it myself, but things may drift until further news or results. | stemis
06/5/2007 13:26 | Many thanks Nurdin | silverfern
05/5/2007 11:05 | A little known fact is that the Sport Newspaper is now under new management and the drop in circulation seen in last year or so has not only been halted but reversed. The aim of the new management is to restore the circulations back to their previous highs which I believe ran into several millions. How do I know this? I spoke to the company yesterday. The other interesting fact(which I wasnt aware of) is that the newspaper generates only 30% of their new business, the remaining 70% coming from 'word of mouth 'and advertisments.Their database of prospective clients has also grown to a massive 5m. Seems to me that ITW are well on course to meet brokers forecasts for this year and may even beat if the Sport Newspapers circulation has started to grow. Way too cheap here imo....specially if you take 10% yield into account, never mind the earnings growth! | nurdin
04/5/2007 09:10 | DJ - regret to say spot on. However, it will come back so I'm topping as we go down, but not at present. | johnrxx99
03/5/2007 23:43 | Yes, looks absurdly cheap to me too, czar. Unfortunately, when the market disagrees with the forecasters, it does sometimes turn out that the market is right. :-( | diogenesj
03/5/2007 22:21 | If the forecasts are right ITW is one of the most undervalued stocks on the market. Year to July eps 9.19p PE 8.4x divi 7.35p yield 9.5%. For next year eps 10.5p PE 7.4x divi 8.4p yield 10.8%. They also have net cash, a couple of million at the half year and growing every month. Half year numbers came in slightly ahead of expectations so I would expect full year to be met. Too cheap but some disenchanted PIs keep dumping. I'm holding and will buy more if they come down any more. | czar
03/5/2007 21:24 | Can't see why they won't return to 70 again. | matt
03/5/2007 15:29 | I'm down 17 1/2% - wondering whether I should cut my losses. | dumpling
26/4/2007 17:24 | Just relecting spreadbetting accounts | stemis
26/4/2007 17:08 | Looks to me like they're selling - was over 3%, now below 3% | kebab77
26/4/2007 15:55 | Looks like Man Financial have bought a few but what does this mean; "An acquisition or disposal of financial instruments which may result in the acquisition of shares already issued to which voting rights are attached:(Yes)' | kimboy2
26/4/2007 13:51 | NO, but this entire thread will expain why this share tends to fall on low volume and rise on the certinaty of the dividend | silverfern
26/4/2007 11:48 | Anyone know the reason for today's drop? | meadow50
14/4/2007 08:29 | MediaGuardian - Sport drops one-third of readers: Sales of every single middle-market and red top Sunday newspaper have declined over the past year, with the Sunday Sport losing one-third of its readers. The Sunday Sport's diet of naked women and sport seems to be proving a turn-off for readers, with 33.7% of the paper's circulation disappearing over the past year - the biggest year-on-year fall in circulation of any national daily or Sunday title. In July, the Sport's circulation was down to just 105,499 copies, from almost 160,000 copies in the same month a year ago, according to the latest ABC figures. | leytonorient
14/4/2007 07:59 | Thanks AT. ITW reminds me of SBT in its early days; almost infinite demand, no physical delivery, using new technology to deliver, driven by roll out of new hardware and software, international expansion, cash flowing in 24/7. ITW will also benefit from the rollout of age verification, particularly in other countries. One bit that caught my eye was the new 'pin-enabled DVD'. ITW can give away millions of these through Sullivan's papers, Private shops and top shelf mags and then receive millions of pounds as the customers buy the access pins over the phone - brilliant and limitless. For the year to start 1st August the broker is going for £6.2m profit 10.5p eps and 8.4p divi. When that forecast was made the pin-enabled DVD division had not been thought of so I expect something higher. Anyway one step at a time, let's see what the trading statement says at the end of July. | czar
12/4/2007 15:05 | well the principle is established that Sullivan is mindful of the institutions wishes and is able to sell as a response. Also, it is good to see the disposal could take place without lowering the current spread. | silverfern
11/4/2007 12:58 | Institutions dislike one shareholder having more than 50% holding, for obvious reasons. Indeed ideally they would like to see Sullivan holding much less than 49.95%. Maybe the trade at 77p is more Sullivan shares going to tutes. | wiganer
11/4/2007 12:53 | 324,011 shares just bought/sold at 77p?! | kebab77
10/4/2007 08:18 | More shares in free float but much harder to buy in size. | czar |
