269 will trigger my buy limit. I am sceptical latest "news" should make difference to IPF.

Interesting. I don't normally do Bonds , but maybe I should diversify a bit.

The IPF1 corporate bonds (6.125% maturing 2020) took a hit on the Slovakia news. If IPF doesn't go bust that's a 7.2% running yield plus 18% capital gain!

He is £10,000 up already!
Don't mention Marconi ; I lost a few quid there too.

I'm always a bit jaundiced about Directors' share purchases to shore up a crumbling share price, but if you're going to do it, it helps if it is a meaningful amount. £300k seems more than a token gesture! (Mind you, I was suckered into following Lord Simpson into Marconi............)

Now that was a well timed trade , unlike my last 2 buys here ; sold my morning's buy for 299 (Thought the integer multiple 300 might be a resistance level). 21% profit after fees.
Not much else shining in my portfolio this week!

Well I've decided to get back in again. Got more shares for the same outlay. Disappointed I didn't catch the bounce as I was in meetings this morning.

Forecasts for this year are over £100m. the reaction is due to a the impact of a second regulatory hit. they don;t appear to have any issues paying debt. the market is just taking no prisoners atm. I'd wager they bounce a bit.

Ouch , yes I timed those buys badly. I see the Slovak profit was about 12% of the total profit last yr.
On the positive side , increased regulation tends to favour the reputable end of the loans market , which is largely where IPF sits.
I decided , perhaps rashly, to add some more at 244 , looking for a bounce.

Really bad news again on the regulatory front...I'm out for now. Might buy back, but today's news shows the regulatory risk is increasing. First Poland and now this!

Bought some more at 346 this morning . Seems too weak.

Picked up that 355 limit buy ; new 3 yr low . I don't see a good reason. If the expectations for FYE only meet the lower end of expectations then that is still 10% of the share price

The market is obsessed with their Polish performance. You heard it again on the conference call.

I just re-read the Q3 statement. It seems clear that the company anticipates trading in line with expectations , and expectations are of EPS next yr of 35- 45p. This is at least 10% of today's closing share price
My conclusion is that I don't think this price is justified on fundamentals.

Slow rise not happening this week , I think this is all about global confidence and happy to have some more if they hit 355.

Breaking out I think ; 410 breached
The broker forecasts , FWIW , suggest a 3.75% 2016 prospective yield covered 2.6X
That seems pretty impressive to me , though I note the usual discordance of broker views from sell down to 358 from Liberum to buy up to 565 from Numis. Almost as if they are all guessing. I prefer to pay for my own guesses and I guess a slow rise back up to 500. We will see.

Only if you are brave. Could easily ping up 50p to 430 or so. Rather depends on the wider market than IPF I suspect.

Potentially a good short from these levels.

Think I called more or less bottom with my 353 buy ; shame about my earlier buy. I still think this is a company with a good niche in a profitable sector.

There is audio of an analyst call about the Polish news on the IPF website, worth a listen
