I would recommend reading back through the posts, but there's a lot of repetition..

Commercially you are almost right @mhin2 but you missed out on the Luxfer deal.. hxxp://www.intelligent-energy.com/news-and-events/company-news/2017/02/20/intelligent-energy-signs-stationary-power-deal-to-supply-fuel-cell-modules-fcm-in-the-us/

This was the initial starter and is a real deal, not a trial.

IEH are still unwinding themselves from the GTL deal - which was India Telecom.

They basically restructured themselves last year and reduced their product pipeline. The EC HFCs were mothballed. AC is where they see they are able to secure their future.

Spending was massively reduced, but I think they only (at the Investor meeting last September) have around 12 months of money left at the current burn rate.

I personally (IMHO!!) don't see the Drone deals as game changers, but I do see the that they bring HFCs to the fore and the Drones they are looking at are ultra-high end devices. The stationary power use of HFCs is where I feel that IEHs future is based.

The interesting thing is that the AC tech is effectively the same in the Drones as the cars as the stationary generators. So there's no need to prove or re-prove the tech. It is all proven and working. The products produced by IEH are 'best in class' and the ones used in the Drones are ultra-lightweight as well. I handled both HFC types in Loughborough at the investor meeting.

I am hoping to make it along to the AGM next week, but the end of next week is starting to get a bit tight. Hopefully the cash position will be re-stated. With 'deals' being done they should be reducing the burn rate or at least increasing their cash in the bank.

All of the info. is (afaik) in the public domain.

DYOR as always! This is still bleeding edge tech, but the company has adjusted it's approach and reduced the R&D and started to try to actually sell their products.

glenkaz/fission...I really did not learn anything...glen, the brits have always been good at science and engineering, its just that others commercialise it. If they know what they have got is huge, then expect director buys- I haven't seen any. Fission, why will it multi-bag...please explain. For me, its pinc saying that IEH are world leaders, but I have yet to ascertain why...other than Suzuki, Lotus and Pinc are/have been involved with them...so why are these companies involved with IEH...can you explain...I would love to know...is it this? Pioneering fuel cell technology

Now these guys are well geeky but they are clever knowing what they got is huge! One for the Brits! Big big upside coming! Defo!

wow...not bad for the tories...

"...Transport Minister John Hayes last weekend announced details of the fund, which will enable hydrogen fuel providers and hydrogen car manufacturers to bid in collaboration for investment to help build high-tech infrastructure such as fuel stations.

A competition will be launched in the summer, with public organisations, businesses and hydrogen operators invited to submit proposals. The Government has pledged to match funding for successful bidders, as part of overarching plans for almost all new cars and vans to be zero-emission by 2040.

“The transition to zero-emission road transport is both inevitable and desirable as it will improve air quality in many of our towns and cities,” Hayes said. “Hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles can play a vital role alongside battery electric vehicles to help us cut harmful emissions.”..."

It seems that IEH commercialisation has the following

Trial of Suzuki (a close partner of IEH) scooters using IEH technology in Japan and London

Trial by PINC using IEH fuel cells for extended drone power

Proven trial in London Olympics where IEH fuel cells were used for Black Cabs designed in conjunction with Lotus

so, to me, all sounds good, but income is a problem...but with a low market cap, and a technology that is being (and some of which has been) tested by leading organisations in a variety of applications, IEH sounds interesting, and possibly ripe for takeover.

Comments/thoughts would be appreciated

Germany aims to embrace hydrogen fuel cells for railway renovation

Fuel cells have already been tested to power trains in Japan and China with both tests proving successful. The capabilities of hydrogen fuel cells have also been noticed by Germany, which plans to convert more than 1,100 kilometers of its railway network into a clean transportation system. Germany is expected to make use of hydrogen fuel cells to power trains as part of this new railway network.

The commercial news flow will continue unabated imo. There are no known plans for a placing..That notion is just one poster trying to derail the stock.

angus, 10p placing would be at a significant premium to this morning, but lets hope there is more news, or even a placing at a premium, or a takeover...I dont know much about this company, but need to go and research their patents. Nevertheless, I was only talking to my nephew (a recent Cambridge chemical engineering graduate) some four months ago, and he said that hydrogen fuel cells were some way off from being commercialised. Todays news, and other stories, indicate that commercialisation is gathering apace. Lets see what happens. I wonder if it will be one of those shares that keeps rising and rising...of course that depends on those that know more on the potential value of todays announcement, and if there are others in the pipeline. I tend to believe that there is a lot of insider knowledge, hence why I thought today was a day that mms were trying to release shares..the fact that it fell and then rose towards the end indicates that more is to come. My only concern is that there were not large buys and sells, it seemed as if it was PI driven. I would have liked to have seen much larger buys (or sells), the fact there were not large sells to me is a good indication; lack of large buys is not.

so much de-ramping on LSE. Dont understand this given the rather good news today was being ignored. The potential new orders this opens up is brilliant, and I cannot imagine that pinc would place the order if they did not have 100% faith. However, figures on order value would have been good, although order value is less significant than commercialization, and proof of efficacy

A lively share price .More on the cards....The stock has held onto most of its gains .... There will be much more to come as the commercialisation strategy continues to roll out imo.
