Encouraging to see the post on the ST Facebook page this morning advising deliveries could be a further 2-3 days longer than usual as we’re ‘experiencing extremely high demand’ Good signs for DTC again.

I see it as good for IDP as they don't have a DTC offer and rely on retail stores sales mostly. Customers are buying online and that's where our DTC will help us see out the rest of the year. I doubt the uplift we'll get in DTC will cancel out our losses in retail but we'll certainly do a lot better than St Tropez, Bondi Sands and Fake Bake etc who all rely on dominant retail store sales. This period will make us even more attractive as an acquisition target given the strength of our DTC channel which is way ahead of the rest of the sector.

From PZ Cussons update today. Is this bad news for IDP or an opportunity for DTC? "Our Beauty business has been severely impacted. St Tropez has been hit hard by the social distancing measures in place in the UK, US and across Europe. Our significant marketing activities planned for Q4 have been cancelled and we expect this business to be slow to recover"

Here we go again! Every time that the share price jumps up it is not too long before it is quickly eroded . Nothing changes with this share !(works every time )

Not true. Any factory can stay open if they have the incoming business to support it. Theres a curtain manufacturer down my road still working as normal for example. There is a moral question about them opening fof sure but they are certainly allowed to. You could argue we need these kind of businesses to still operate where they can to keep what's left of the economy ticking over. Thats why the government instruction allows you to travel to either if you cant work at home.

Factory closed. Not key workers or key industry.

Not sure if factories are closing, but if so potentially more of an issue for competitors. We fully stocked up for good growth this year. £3.9 million of stock vs £2.4 million last year. If we manage to sell it all it will have been an excellent year. If not we'll have the inventory for next year.Competitors with own production presumably don't hold much stock and produce as and when needed. If their factory has to shut down they'll soon run out of stock.

New ISA season and a “reassuring221; update from Management this morning giving the shares a strong boost today. On a medium term horizon the prospect for Innovaderma’s business is very positive. The shares are cheap on a “normalised221; PER basis and the balance sheet is strong (no debt, cash positive). I like the current Management and they have been buying shares over the last few weeks. A clear BUY for me !

Lots of buys going through in the 5000-6000 range. Someone is definitely accumulating a lot of stock today.

I am a holder here and a little underwater so probably not doing myself any favours but what the company hasn't mentioned is the effect that the factory we outsource manufacturing too closing until further notice will have our business moving forward. And that of the factory itself. Should the factory survive I'm expecting a significant delay in product being available, and potentially manufacturing costs to increase coming out of this due to effect social distancing physically has on the factory floor, HSE requirements etc.... slowed down production, increased costs. On top of that we will experience a glut in sales and a stockpile of inventory which is slowly going out of date. I suppose we can pass costs on to the end consumer but at the risk of a drop in revenue. It's unfortunate that just as we see some positive shoots in the business, Covid-19 comes along.

Reassuring update this morning. These are dirt cheap on a couple year view, and good to hear that a lot of their business is continuing to perform, whilst they also have sufficient cash.

Yep happy with that. It's all about weathering the storm for everyone and this update suggests they should easily be able to do that relatively easily.Interestingly IDP social media accounts have seen a huge uplift in interactions/followers the last couple of weeks compared to normal.

Good update considering the circumstances. Enough cash and government loan available if needed. Sounds prudent.
