A big problem with Inmarsat is their pathological need to own their own satellites. Other providers have come to market far sooner with their product, in aviation, because they didn't have the 6 year development cycle and leveraged other technologies.Heads need to roll too. Punters were promised A LOT from the aviation department and competition has cleaned up.

After beating the consensus in November? I think they are coming to the end of a massively expensive capital expenditure, and the earnings will outstrip costs in a big way soon. Bean counters always assume costs will continue with satellites... But once they're up, they're cash cows!

I've set a limit order for 610.
They clearly have challenges in the near future but in the medium term demand will undoubtedly pick up.

I'm a bit worried that the kit will get installed in planes, and the average punter will be frustrated that it's a load of expensive cack - like most satcoms - there will probably be enough bandwidth for everyone to check their emails!

In recent weeks we have seen confirmation of a Global Xpress (GX) aviation contract with Air New Zealand and a GX contract announcement with Eurowings - the first low cost carrier to sign up. We continue to flag that we expect consensus estimates to adjust reflecting the message on opex - but this is not new news (as we detail) and we think we are towards the end of the downgrade cycle now. There have been a number of downgrades this week, not holding any directly atm.
however multiple income funds hold ISAT.

Yes, Down Down Deeper and down.
Status Quo only knew three chords, this stock only disappoints lately.

Yield at 5.34 % according to ADVFN financials.
Closing price RSI 30.16, must have just dipped into oversold territory at today's low.
