You can speculate as much as you like

The post has to be positive and negative to balance the thread, at the moment there is no positive ones apart from the share prices are rising despite negative ones below......

Market Report
Housebuilder Bellway will postpone its interim dividend, it said, as it warned of a slowdown in demand due to the coronavirus and subsequent government-ordered lockdown.
Fellow housebuilder Persimmon said it had begun the orderly shutdown of its construction sites and closed all of its sales sites, as it announced the cancellation of its dividend.

Construction and regeneration company Morgan Sindall withdrew its guidance and warned on profits as it said the pandemic was disrupting operations.

With Persimmon closing sales offices tomorrow, starting an orderly shutdown of construction sites and cancelling/postponing dividends; Michaelmarsh auapending deliveries as of Monday and also production and Ibstock closing plants, I was surprised at the share price rise this morning and lightened up.

Rather sounds as if Master RSI has sold and is desperately attempting to bring the price back...

Shortages of imported materials such as plasterboard were already being experienced and now builders merchants are closing.
Lets hope it is only 3 weeks

Jenrick: construction sites can remain open during lockdown

24/03/20 9:10 AM

Housing secretary Robert Jenrick has called on housing and construction workers to stay at home if possible during the coronavirus lockdown, but has said sites can remain open.

In a tweet sent following Boris Johnson’s address to the nation last night, in which the prime minister brought in powers that would see major restrictions on the movement of people across the country, Mr Jenrick said his advice for those working in the housing, construction and building maintenance industries is to work from home if possible.

But he also said that those working on site could continue to do so but must abide by Public Health England’s social distancing guidelines.

Good job that the bulk of INL's business isn't construction then....

Just bought back the INLZ I sold higher up. Pd 144.5p, that = 145.3p gross inc costs. GRY = 8.38%pa to 201.40p on 10/04/24.

If you believe INL is going to survive, then that 8.4% yield for 4yrs is pretty darned attractive for cash balances.

At the top, the sells have been large so the share price has suffered, some at looking to the weekend with profits

Nice to see the stock on the rise again, looking great as the spread is narrowing

A bit of MMs game taking the bid down to 42p but did not last because straight away was back to 43p and then offer to 46p, so Up.

The sellers were getting 43.60p so no reason to mark it down to 42p

For the las 45 minutes the buys are taking over but the trades are small so the MMs are Keeping the same price so far.
Any large buy now then the price would trigger a move UP.

The rise goes on much the same way that the marked down was early on the week.
40.50p +7p shows how much what goes down can go UP fast
