Super news - this will add millions to the bottom line in due course and bump up the asset price immediately.

Very cheap under 100p.

Will be snapped up before long.

Solano, yes. You can generally foresee new events before announcement as news has a habit of leaking out.

We knew it was coming soon, but this exceeds my estimates. Great result. Seen the Southampton site and impressed.

Looks to me that INL is becoming more of a builder and in future will not be mainly a wheeler-dealer in building sites after getting planning permission. With the government calling for millions more houses, INL's timing seems perfect.
Next week's results and forward statements have just got a lot more exciting.

Nice planning summary ahead of results that should give the price a boost.

Yupa - You're obviously a seasoned keyboard warrior, so I'll leave you to bash away at your keys.

I've better things to do!

All the very best...

Both are interrelated. Their profits and hence eps come from selling their land/housing assets. So as one metric like NAV goes down due to asset sales, earnings go up due to the realised profits. The trick is to keep the asset bank at sufficiently healthy level to ensure a good flow of earnings long term and ,from investors point of view,a healthy yield.

The timing of the asset sales clearly also determines the profit in any given financial year so the PE can vary wildly from year to year

If NAV runs ahead of the market cap, then the company leaves itself open to a bid.Thats my simplistic take.

(Gosh this Rioja is good !)

spud Anybody who understands the sector knows this is a N.A.V play, yupa is spot on.

The BOD could sell our Beaconsfield site that would bring in substancial proceeds, for you P.E seekers,
thankfully S.W has got just a little more savy, unless it was truly knockout offer.

Meanwhile, a nice bounce of 60p...Hope the stoppage by the council hasn't impacted the interims...Still should be decent set of results..the market seems to think that's whats coming..GL

Worried about your SB short position? Anyone with a modicum of Market savvy knows that you can't value a company on NAV alone!spud

rubbish - The company can sell off part of the land bank, that would benefit the bottom line that would raise the p/e ratio is that what you really want !!!.

Incorrect. That statement is like saying in order to make a car function it doesn't need wheels, just fuel. spud

Truly astounded by the constant talk about P/E for the past week , that metric is totally irrelevant for a company like INL, the metric that is important is the NAV.

I am looking forward to some good results and eventually a rerating so that the p/e is about 10 not 4.5 !

I keep a check on their website and looking at it today and comparing it with the last update two weeks ago there seems little change in the number of properties sold despite headings like "selling fast" and different special offers being available. Surely this should be moving towards peak selling times. Last year Inland zip had a statement on 7th March but nothing so far this year. Shouldn't have long to wait as date of results should be known within the next week followed by the statement the following week. Obviously land sales can be lumpy and nothing for quite a while. Hopefully the results statement shall calm my concerns as this is my largest share holding.
