Don't forget the UK will have to get gas from Norway,Russia and Qatar in the future after N Sea depletion....much further to travel.

JOHN WOOD has now a substantial stake in the company, where apparently he is driving an excellent performance.
Now he has top quality partners to drive the process forward.

I'm sure people may now think twice before selling as today's Board change may herald a period of accelerated news-flow. Here's hoping!

Wood buys a shed load of stock with his own cash and then becomes the new CEO. What's his plan for INFA? I sense something is in the pipeline.

Already on Malcy's blog he talks about the progress made in this area so this is clearly further direction in this continued strategy.

Just regurgitating mostly....

Spud said ‘The beauty with Medium Range Storage (MRS) is the rate of withdrawal and injection. Islandmagee will be able to withdraw over 20 million cubic metres of gas per day’.

So based on that, given that in 2017 gas prices fluctuated between 35 and 53 pence per therm (industry gas prices vary significantly depending on energy consumption) and given that a therm = approx. 2.64 cubic metres of gas.

Consider this Illustration: (40p per therm is 15p per cubic metre) 15p x 20m = 300m p, = £3m per DAY!

…….I am liking that sir!

David Marshall as per Spuds thread above has collated a mass of infomation , figures and fcats for those interested in INFA, easy on the eye read, concise and precise. Adds wieght to a buy and hold approach like myself and many other large holders.

Appreciate the replies fellas. I am still learning about Infa, and ticking more boxes, but buying slowly. Nowhere near a full position though.

If you look at Petronas who Import LNG to UK , delever to UK in Dragon Energy ( Wales ) Then can store under ground at Humbley Gove , and then trade extract as and when the need arises.

The beauty of UGGS is that storage can be taken from the gas networks when needed as opposed to waiting for an LNG tanker to arrive from overseas.

I would also think that with an LNG plant you wait until tanks near empty ( say 20% at a guess ) prior to importing at spot price.

A simple internet search reveals this for advantages of storage as per INFA

The beauty with Medium Range Storage (MRS) is the rate of withdrawal and injection.

Islandmagee will be able to withdraw over 20 million cubic metres of gas per day.

Not sure the capacity of lng regas plants but I'm guessing nowhere near that?

An lng terminal and storage facility are two different things and compliment eachother

Perhaps because there is room for both divmad.
Storage is recommended as well,I believe they used the term 'diversify gas supplies'.

The point is this is an area of concern for both Britain and Northern Ireland at least
and that feeds right into INFA's hands at the moment.
I don't claim to have all the answers but I think this is a great area to be in.
IMO

Hazl, why is a liquid gas storage terminal, as recommended, not a competitive threat to Infa's proposed gas storage solution for Ireland's energy security?
