24/5/2001 13:25 | i bought some today, hoping that the new CEO comes out with some sensible restructuring and/or cost saving plan (rumored out in June). With market cap 1/2 of cash there is a scope for upside, imo | biomax

23/5/2001 14:31 | kitkat, IBI Could be getting a pound of your flesh. H. | humbugg
23/5/2001 14:30 | it's the biggest mistake an amateur investor makes. They look at the years high and just cos the present price is a fraction of that high they assume the stock is cheap. This could and looks at this stage to end in tears. | jenifer
23/5/2001 14:29 | Stew, Well said.. though it has to be said that these threads are a good laugh. :-))H. | humbugg
23/5/2001 14:24 | the buyers are trickling back in | bullybunter
23/5/2001 14:17 | hooter, I'll side with Jenifer.....what it and others spiked at before is irrelevent....one could argue its worth what it has in cash, so it could rise to this amount.......the problem is that even at that value it still needs a small fortune investing in it prior to reaching profitability,(lets assume it will get there), so this amount should be DEDUCTED from that valuation...... this is why IBI sits on its present mkt cap. | cb7
23/5/2001 14:13 | They're burning cash at 18M/quarter with absolutely no sign of reversing this situation. They definitely haven't got the cash to see them anywhere near profitability. Why on Earth shouldn't they be at a big discount as they are now? As to a bidder getting the technology for nothing, why would they want it? Doesn't seem to be doing IBI much good. Perhaps the cash pile is attractive but how much would be left after exit costs? They should admit defeat, stop trading and return the cash to the shareholders. That way at least you'll probably get a premium to the current price rather than nothing. | stewjames
23/5/2001 14:12 | Dodddy, Yes, it was tongue in cheek, but true all the same. However, I do believe that one day nearly all purchasing will be done electronically and if Izodia can control their spending, and/or get off their @rses and sell something, then they're well placed. I really do believe that the potential is huge. | hooter

23/5/2001 13:29 | Jenifer - Last year, even less turnover, even bigger losses, enormous cash burn---and people were paying 4375p. Sentiment is low, that's all. Potential is huge. | hooter
