09/8/2016 08:18 | IND don't manufacture in the UK and report in dollars so sterling weakness is not going to have a big impact other than dividend's being better and perhaps some overheads being lower. | iain123
09/8/2016 06:07 | Pistols prob want to launch a bid and want price held down Weak sterling will make it easier for them to buy this They only need 6m quid as they have 30pc and Ind has no debt but cash of 4m They havent counted on grossart being a tough nut to crack | onjohn
09/8/2016 06:05 | Currency will be helping sell a lot of kit | onjohn
09/8/2016 00:31 | I think New Pistoia might be taking advantage of the recent P&D, and I really can't blame them for having a go (as long as they haven't been involved in it any more than just as a casual observer, selling and buying). Not been watching this as closely as I should have been and missed a few news items recently. Desperate times call for desperate measures? It seems IND are toying with a change to their business model. They've signed up Ingram Micro's Australia & NZ division. Ingram Micro is the world's largest wholesale technology products distributor. Let's see if this results in shifting a lot more products! As a consequence all IND product lines and prices can now be found here: | exotic
09/8/2016 00:16 | They won't bid...they are a investment fund not PE. A lot of managers have seriously underestimated how far the trust goes or how permanent their capital is when they keep losing other peoples' money. Unless it is one person who is managing their own money then mark to market matters. | dangersimpson2
08/8/2016 19:39 | It does seem strange to sell just 25k - net - of the 2.2m they hold. I wonder whether the 30% mandatory offer rule is part of the issue. They are just 78k shares short of 30% and the TO code rule 9 includes any holders of shares that are acting "in concert" in calculating the percentage. If New Pistoia was contemplating a bid, is it possible that the last week or so was testing the water to see how high the share price has to be to shake the tree firmly enough? Or even to flush out potential bidders? Or is this just wishful thinking? | cliffpeat
08/8/2016 18:44 | Apparently New Pistoia is a family owned and run fund, so those investing hsould be very understanding! | blanketstacker
08/8/2016 14:17 | I think they did buy them back cheaper in the end, mainly because they put the squeeze on another fund that was looking to sell. We all thought they were the distressed ones. Did seem crazy at the time though since their mark-to-market volatility on the rest of their holding would dwarf the gain made from buying back cheaper. You need either very understanding investors or very permanent capital to be prepared to take the short term performance hit. | dangersimpson2
08/8/2016 13:00 | New Pistoia seem to have been behind a good chunk of the selling on Friday, taking their holding below 29% - see . Seems rather to me of the start of what they did earlier this year, selling shares and driving the price down in (roughly) late March, then buying them back in early April, without apparently succeeding in getting them back much cheaper than they sold them - see for my best guess about what they were attempting then, and other posts both before and after for a running commentary on the RNSes and other people's views about what was going on. 08/8/2016 12:39 | New Pistoia playing games again? | dangersimpson2
05/8/2016 13:14 | Looks like it was a P&D. | exotic
04/8/2016 16:37 | What's caused the selling and share price drop today then ? Any ideas Gentlemen ? | starpukka
04/8/2016 13:28 | Today's rate cut is superb news because this is a dollar earner and pound will now be weak for a while | rubberbullets
04/8/2016 08:39 | Has anyone considered an external party may be interested to purchase them, and not a management buy out? | spectre03
03/8/2016 12:59 | last bid was at 560p i think As far as I am aware, the last documented proposal to take over IndigoVision was the one at 265p/share documented in . It never got as far as being a formal takeover bid, not did any such bid emerge from the "offer period" that started then (December 23rd, 2011) and ended with the announcement on January 20th, 2012. I've also skimmed through all the RNS announcements under the "News" tab at the top of the page, looking for any other "offer periods" - they're pretty obvious even on a quick skim because they produce a flurry of "Rule 8", "Form 8.3" and similar announcements. There's one other such period back in 2002, but the only price I've found mentioned for that is one of about 20p/share's worth of the bidder's shares - see . So I'm afraid I don't see any evidence of there ever even having been a "possible bid" at 560p, let alone an actual bid. Gengulphus | gengulphus
03/8/2016 12:32 | That was earlier. I've just got a quote for 6,500 at 163.3 - 0.7p below the offer. All that tells us is that this one is illiquid at times. NMS is 750. | sharw
03/8/2016 11:52 | 6500 buy 6p over the offer | dlku
03/8/2016 10:26 | got US4m cash in this | dlku

03/8/2016 10:05 | last bid was at 560p i think | dlku
03/8/2016 10:05 | Desultory bid in the offing? | boystown
03/8/2016 10:00 | Quite a bowly-uppy picture to 500p | dlku
03/8/2016 09:59 | CHart breaking out | dlku
02/8/2016 22:12 | Paul Scott Even Indigovision (LON:IND) (in which I hold a long position) has been going up. I don't know why - but presumably the company should benefit from having its overheads in sterling, whilst buying & selling product mainly in dollars. He wants 400p for his IND shares | dlku
02/8/2016 20:40 | Still looking perky here. I see the broker's note posted above was dated a month ago so maybe this stock has been tipped somewhere. | hugepants |
