21/1/2010 13:08 | Directors salaries? | the big fella
20/10/2009 08:41 | IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! | ntv
20/10/2009 08:39 | pointed that out a long time ago about goodwill always remove it from a business when doing DD you then find the real worth tried to explain it to you guys but you didn't listen learn like i have from mistakes from the past like have TRUST is very important in life and business | ntv
06/10/2009 11:24 | Just had another look at the interims. This is looking pretty dire if you ask me. Although Johnma points out nat assets are 2.6 mil, he fails to mention that they have over 2 mil good will in this, which , as we have seen with their "investments with the 3 Monkeys in Herne Hill" isn't worth anything in the current environment. Directors salaries are ridiculous and I see these guys just bleeding this one dry. | the big fella
04/8/2009 13:56 | I doubt it . May have found a floor but directors salaries an issue, and until they can demonstrate they have any idea of how to take this forward - and justify taking a salary at all -then you may have a point. That time, is a way off yet, if it ever comes. | the big fella
04/8/2009 12:30 | IRGP 2.5p Company currently very undervalued - market cap of £600k with net assets of £2.7m, strategy is to rollout a consistent brand on a nationwide basis for Indian food. Last week news of closure of loss making unit, volume starting to move in. First signs of volume picking up - stock may have bottomed. | johnma
03/8/2009 13:38 | Have the directors paid all the money to themselves yet? | dope007
03/8/2009 13:30 | Nice to see some buying coming in. | johnma
03/8/2009 10:40 | Maybe we hit the bottom. | johnma
02/8/2009 13:23 | Nice to see they cut a loss making unit - | johnma
31/7/2009 11:41 | Not sure of the implications of appointing administrators for that unit? | stuart14
26/7/2009 15:40 | Stu You can't blame others. PMG will also have lost heavily on said tips. I am hoping he pulls a rabbit out of the hat in Canada. If he does then I will be happy. As for this, well not more to add. | the big fella
21/7/2009 14:09 | Know the feeling TBF. Sadly my 2 biggest losses to date both came from "tips" from the same person. Suffice to say I don't talk to them much anymore! It isn't game over here, nor there, but neither look like good investment cases anymore. | stuart14
06/7/2009 08:28 | NTV - yes you were proved right. I got this one wrong. Fortunately I get more right than I get wrong! | the big fella
06/7/2009 07:52 | those who read my comments earlier on willl know my feelings after the purchase was made from 21p to 2.75p and now virtually bust nothing more to say | ntv
30/6/2009 07:21 | From a shareholder point of view they need to do a number of things. Cut the losses, cut their salaries, market rhe Co to investors and most importantly make an investment case in them compelling. Long way away from that at the moment. My losses are larger than TBF's at the moment. I am tempted to average down, only as it gives me a closer exit in the future, but frankly i'm more worried these guys won't be around in a year or so. The reports, when they do bother to release them are very downbeat. They don't even suggest management have much faith in the operation. I know they read these boards so hopefully the last few days will give them something constructive to think about | stuart14
29/6/2009 18:42 | The brands we have are strong and we are looking at possible opportunities to leverage these brands by seeking additional sources of revenue through wholesaling and forming alliances with other food units with a view of selling our food through their channels. I think this is about the best line of generating extra revenue they have come up with. I dont know about the brands being strong but its certainly an avenue worth exploring. | robandkerry
29/6/2009 18:00 | Stu They are taking their wages very seriously. This has been a disaster from the word go. They only good thing is a traded it twice on the way up so my loss is only about 10k in total. Offset that against some capital gains and it will be reduced further. | the big fella
29/6/2009 17:53 | To see the share price go up, we need significant and continued buying. That is where my issue lays. In this market what would cause that. I can't see much. They certainly aren't a take out target, hedge funds etc wouldn't touch it, so it will be down to interest from PI's. Not sure what will bring them here. I'd like to see management start to take this seriously. | stuart14
29/6/2009 17:38 | Who sold 9000 and dropped the price by 15%? I wonder if I bought 9000 the price would go back up again? | robandkerry
29/6/2009 15:56 | Will just tuck these under the pillow then... will come good in the long term IMO. GLA | mike_f
29/6/2009 15:46 | No. I'd rather invest my money in something I believe will go up, as opposed to hope will go up. I don't like the management here and would never invest in another of their "projects". I took a punt on these from a friend's recommendation. To be fair he can't get them all right. | the big fella |
