09/12/2009 09:59 | I see that the usual suspects have been rounded up here, again. Good to see, also, that this Co has not been laying dormant but did busy itself in the dead season. Obviously, those crafty buyers of 200 MT of gold from the Indian Treasury, have focused a mind or two to the fact that we have exposure to that rising market here. A billion people or so on Indian subcontinent, a stable democracy at that- that is not something it can easily be ignored. I would welcome injection of capital and a strong institutional presence in IIR. | fatso
09/12/2009 09:42 | Anyone fancy asking Shane/Bob to confirm: 1. That the parties involved are unrelated to directors on the board. 2. What the likely assumed price range might be for the shares being issued if any are. 3. How many parties are being talked to and did they approach IIR or did we approach them. 4. How are they ensuring these investment talks aren't distracting too much management time from the core business development which they have previously complained about. | scrapheap
09/12/2009 09:15 | Bl00dy hell look at all that lot !!! Very good news and seems they have been busy boys in the year since delisting using time & funds to enhance the offering significantly, before looking for new money - patience will be rewarded by the looks of things [not that we have much choice] . The irideus tie up has some major players on board & I see the ROVR being a success personally although time will tell. Focusing on fast growing Indian companies will help get it off the ground imo. Looks liek they have already courted a few large institutions. Time to have a play ;) | james 2
08/12/2009 23:59 | I also see that Indias Undiscovered Gems(BRICS)& ROVA (Research Oracle Virtual Roadshow)is up and running on the IIR website. Dont quite understand it but it involves company demonstrations via video link to potential investors such as Investment Banks, Hedge Funds etc. Seems a good idea but not sure if it will take off. They must have researched it i suppose. | rob67
08/12/2009 23:23 | James Nice token gesture on the header mate!!! Can you update the thread abit please? Times have moved on some!! | rob67
08/12/2009 23:20 | Id say its positive and a 3rd party. This Irideus scheme looks like a BIG deal to me! | rob67
08/12/2009 23:17 | something is rumbling then !!! | fatfish
08/12/2009 22:47 | INTERESTING NEWS TONIGHT !!!!!!!!! WHAT DO WE RECKON??? ITS A DONE DEAL RE THE VOTE COS OF SS/Smith Trust BUT WHO ARE THE POTENTIAL INVESTORS!!! I hope it's not the blinking Trust again - the risk is if millions of shares are issued at buttons to them.. we could be diluted entirely.... or on the positive side it could be a 3rd party wanting a stake... could be exciting news or could be us being shafted!!! Notice of General Meeting The Company has recently been in negotiations with parties with regards to a possible investment in the Company. In anticipation, but without certainty of, conclusion of negotiations regarding a possible investment the directors have deemed it appropriate to issue a notice of a General Meeting which has been posted to shareholders on 8 December 2009. The authorities being sought at the General Meeting are: 1. To authorise the Directors to allot shares in the Company under section 551 of the Companies Act 2006, and 2. To authorise the Directors to allot equity securities without applying pre-emption rights under section 561 of the Companies Act 2006. RG Mennie Secretary | scrapheap
08/12/2009 08:27 | I keep looking at the iir website but their latest news section... why nothing on the irideus launch? I've not even received an email from the company? People aren't going to find these services/site without some sort of 'fanfare'... | scrapheap
07/12/2009 22:38 | Fatfish As they are behind it and will recieve 1/5 of the fees paid then i dont see why this cant be a good earner for IIR. All depends on the scale of sign up i suppose! A good start and at least they are driving new types of research. | rob67
07/12/2009 22:12 | for irideus maybe but iir ???? | fatfish
07/12/2009 21:48 | I feel a re listing maybe inorder!! Alas that may be a couple of years away me thinks, but if all these initatives come off then it may be a reality if they can grow as rapidly as they assume. Although Irideus is portrayed as a joint venture between 5 well known research co's, the driving force behind this and make no mistake, is IIR. Look on the Irideus website on who to contact- Our own beloved firm- just it doesnt actually say as much but only IIR are headquartered at St Olavs Court London, i believe! I can see huge potential in this if it takes off. | rob67
07/12/2009 19:44 | In case nobody got that rant. It HAS!! and VERY professional it is too. | rob67
07/12/2009 18:32 | this thread keeps being lost (by me), just reposting to keep it here!!! | scrapheap
02/12/2009 12:56 | Launching soon................ | james 2
01/12/2009 22:47 | Ahem indeed!! Why say anything? | rob67
28/11/2009 15:04 | Yes i just re read that bit on the website and i think it is definately relating to PSQ. Only small change but as you say it is an ingenius way of making a start at intermediated research for a very minimal cost. It specifies 3 sectors are covered, we've had 2 so we should be due another at some point. On an un related matter these new areas of research on the website that are "launching soon" are supposed to go live by the end of this month!! Why say they will when we know they NEVER launch anything on time!!! Always Monday to keep on schedule i suppose! | rob67
27/11/2009 09:01 | I think I'm right in saying they have an example on their site for these sort of things suggesting they got paid 75k for doing something like this (not sure if that is split 3 ways or not, I suspect it is). I note in the plug email I received y'day it says companies do even better if they have the single company reports done. This appears to be a clever marketing tactic to 'breach' the walls of there being very little research at all across AIM and that once there is a 'snippet' of info about sectors then the next step is for some of those covered (or those missed out) to then commission the £10k individual report. Good idea in my book! | scrapheap

26/11/2009 23:32 | I can't get in to psq. I've clicked the forgotten password reminder, get told a new password has been sent to me and then receive nothing. I then registered as a new user, submitted and was told an activation email would be sent - that too hasn't arrived. This is really poor if a common issue!!!! I want to get in and see who wrote each of these reports... | scrapheap |
