20/1/2002 22:11 | Results....Tuesday 22nd January [according to F.T.] | citytraderboy
14/1/2002 17:17 | Nice late trades today. 150K and 50k at 39.5p, that should help them move up tomorrow. Also a Techinvest tip for this year. Good results expected soon and then it should rocket. | redd
12/1/2002 19:20 | Any chance of posting the general gist of the Techinvest article here? At 3p EPS IMS are undervalued (should trade closer to 60p) and I reckon we'll some upward movement from now on in. Thanks, DR | the fox
12/1/2002 15:17 | Techinvest stated that BG were upgrading IMS ! | citytraderboy
12/1/2002 13:23 | Beeson Gregory have issued no updates since the Interims last July. Their official figures are 3p EPS for 2001 and 4.9p EPS for 2002. This give P/E figures of 12 and 7 respectively. Equity Investigator aren't the house broker so may be a little more subjective but the November trading statement said 'in the year to 31 October 2001, earnings before exceptional items will be in line with market expectations' which I assume means Beeson's forecasts. We'll see in just over 10 days I guess - I'm still holding. Good luck to all :) DR | the fox
06/1/2002 22:10 | Sounds good to me , babysitter ! | citytraderboy
06/1/2002 21:48 | found a post this evening on the aii board by scrutable advising that techinvest have chosen ims as one of their ten shares for 2002. techinvest apparently also qoute an upgrade of eps from beeson gregory. | babysitter
05/1/2002 15:12 | Any other comments ? Plus did Techinvest say anything about IMS today ? | citytraderboy
05/1/2002 14:58 | I had IMS at about £10 ! Sold [and made some money !] , but I agree that they are very cheap now. So I bought back in on Friday ! IMHO IMS is heading back to 100p Plus in the short term.... | citytraderboy
03/1/2002 16:22 | Strong buying today in advance of results due towards end of month. Chart is looking promising, could run up to 50p. | gzr
18/12/2001 23:30 | the fox In the telecoms sector where profits are scarce all sorts of imaginative valuation yardsticks are used. Perhaps the most common is multiples of turnover. I sold my telecoms business for a multiple of turnover. In the silly days, Colt was valued at 30X annual turnover. Totally crazy!! I have suggested that IMS all other things being equal could be worth up to 1 times turnover. This means there is a great deal of potential upside. I am not in this stock any more having taken my profits but if I was a long term investor this would be a stock I would seriously consider tucking away. DYOR | throc
06/12/2001 21:11 | Throc - what do you base your valuation 'measure' on? I use P/E and EPS growth. IMS are trading on a current P/E of just over 10 and EPS growth is forecast next year. I would be interested to hear who uses your valuation based on turnover as turnover means nothing if you're making huge losses, especially in a bear market (although I think we may be seeing the ends of it). I do rate IMS and I think they are a buy - I was just curious about the valuation method. :) DR | the fox
03/12/2001 11:36 | Averageing up that's the way to do it! Ill be buying again this week. | ironhorse
29/11/2001 09:07 | Another Herald buy 400000 share's reported on the 28/11/01. This is good for IMS it is a sound company.I shall be buying myself. | ironhorse
26/11/2001 20:03 | nghomi To appologise in the circumstances shows good grace and is the mark of a Gentleman. All of us reading this know only too well the frustration of losing money on a stock that you really believe in. I sincerely hope that you recover your losses. It may take a bit of time but I honestly believe this stock is significantly undervalued. I took a 50%+ profit simply because I was trading short term. Long term I would not be the slightest bit surprised to see this stock at over a £1. I've met Katie Potts and I am very impressed by her. I have not discussed IMS with her but was enormously encouraged to see Herald buying more. If the stock gets to over a £1 both of you will have something to celebrate and I will genuinely be delighted. Good luck! | throc
26/11/2001 09:47 | My apologies to everybody who is offended. The reason I have been so angry is that I have believed in IMS shares when they were 180p. So I have been buying them and my average price is 130p. From annual reports and public knowledge even 130p is too cheap. What I don't understand why nobody buys this stock at 30p. I will stick with them until they bounce back to 130p but I am too scared to buy anymore. I hope you understand! | nghomi
23/11/2001 16:43 | I got out at 28.5 earlier in the week. Did not like the way the market was going. nghomi, I have no interest in this stock anymore but please be careful what you say because if I was Liam Ryan, I might seriously consider suing you for libel. Besides, it seems to me to be a kick in the teeth for a manager who has just reported that the next set of results will be in line with expectations. | throc
23/11/2001 16:26 | I see "M&G INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT LIMITED" has sold 400000 shares yesterday. I wonder why?! | nghomi
23/11/2001 14:54 | No, there isn't! | nghomi
23/11/2001 10:50 | nghomi Is there anyone else you would like sacked at IMS. If you find it such a badly run company why bother trying to convert the commited solid investers. You fail to qualify any of your rantings. Go away shortie | ironhorse |
