Wunder: 'Out of curiosity anyone else have their own personal year end target for IMB?'

Nope, the market seems flighty and really hard to read at the present, I've given up thinking of 'targets'; and looong already gave up on analysts ''''forecasts'''.
I just stick with plan #A, try and buy divi-quality, monitor like a hawk, and then continue re-investing from accumulated divs when there is a smell of good long-term value.

When was the market ever based on rationality?

Hi Ken, I've been watching and waiting today and not happy with price action on what is reasonable/good results. Agree with sentiment on this bb - is the market taking the mickey? Initial bounce to 2700 subsequently falling to 2573p! If it makes anyone feel better I've also joined the idiot brigade and bought more @ 2590p. Incidentally I've also been accumulating BATS in recent weeks [and again today c.3290] - whilst tobacco sector is blatantly out of favour at present and has been for good 18 months or so I believe it will come back into vogue at some point...but I sincerely hope that's sooner rather than later - the profitability of my portfolio hinges on it.

More it goes down less we have to wait for BID . It will come and you may get 3400p 3600p as a bid price and everyone will accept it as a "good riddance". Hope that capitulation occurs sooner rather than later.

Looks like they going to close the gap up from 2645 before it resumes any further price increase.

...."In next generation products, our main focus is on transitioning smokers to blu, a significantly less harmful alternative to cigarettes. Next generation products also offers additive opportunities ..."

That's what we want - 'addictive' opportunities...strange choice of the word there.

Falling back now, even good results and an increased dividend confirmation can't light a fire under this. Probably finish down on the day after all.

Our continued strong cash flow generation enabled a further GBP0.8 billion debt reduction at constant currency and delivered another year of 10 per cent dividend growth.

The Group has paid two interim dividends totalling 56.87 pence per share in June 2018 and September 2018, in line with our quarterly dividend payment policy to give shareholders a more regular cash return.

The Board has approved a further interim dividend of 65.46 pence per share and will propose a final dividend of 65.46 pence per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 187.79 pence per share.

The third interim dividend will be paid on 31 December 2018 with an ex dividend date of 22 November 2018. Subject to AGM approval, the proposed final dividend will be paid on 29 March 2019, with an ex-dividend date of 21 February 2019.
